  1. I went up and test drove one of these new ones and was impressed with interior, it was roomy, most of the controls were located nicely and looked really sharp. The model I test drove was the Hemi fully loaded with the dual exhaust. For power I wasn't that impressed... I'm pretty sure momma's TBSS would smoke it. I like the new body style but I will be waiting for them to come out with the new style offering the cummins as I now need a desiel for towing.

I would like to see this truck built. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/news/0811dp_...6_7l/index.html

You might want to do your research before buying a 6.7. The turbo in those things SUCK. My brother-in-law went thru 2 turbos and was about to need another one when he traded it in. His was a 2008 with less than 30K miles w/ a 6.7. He and I were both fans of the Cummins until that truck. Also he had chip, exhaust, and intake and my 2008 VMAX STOCK blew him away from a dig until 50 MPH.

  2. Does anyone know how to disable the TPMS on a NBS Crew Cab? I have a set of 17" steel rims from an 07' classic and I want to run them with no chrome hub caps just the chrome center caps. (Just like the Police!) Discount wants $200 to install the TPMS from my 20' aluminums on the steel "rallies" and I have a tire guage that is a little rusty. Plus I don't want the flat tire on my dash and idiots lights galore whenever I start the truck.

  3. For now don't get so hung-up on the ET, I would concentrate on the MPH because the trap speed tells you how much power the truck is making. Your combo is not making much power; on the contrary if the truck was trapping well but still only in the 14's then the problem would be more like converter or traction related. Either the motor is not processing much air (obstructed CAI?), or you have very high IATs, or belt slippage, or the crank isn't pinned, or blocked cats, or tune is off. You are going to have a difficult time tracking the problem down without good logging software, you need to capture data from your truck to get hints as to what the issue is and you are going to have to get EFILive or HPT -or- you might call Justin Gadberry (Black Bear Performance) as he has available a black box logging module that you plug into your OBDC port and he can download the info and examine it at his end. I agree that with the combo you describe the truck is slow by almost 1.5 seconds; a common tuning culprit is that the motor pulls timing because the IATs are blistering hot - I am not saying this is what is happening to your truck but rather that these kinds of problems cannot be pinpointed without good data logging.

    Mr. P.

Pinned crank!!! That'll definately do it. Is you crank pinned?

  4. thanks for the replys, going to cancun this week and when i get back my rims will be powdercoated and im thinking about doing the vortec max emblems

Please post the pics. of your powdercoated rims when you get them back. I've been thinking about that for a while and haven't seen any done. Your emblems look great.

  5. why waste cash on a FAST... not the right way to spend almost 1K on these trucks.... try performance induction specialist if you want a real intake.... they have guys running heads/cam trucks with that intake and are running mid to low 11's and they are bracket racing.

Do you have a link to them or a phone number?

  6. Your truck is already true duals from the manifolds back. All that you need to do is go to a local muffler shop and have them replace the existing dual in, dual out muffler with two mufflers. IMO you won't gain much more with a cat back system in your particular truck. As for cab drone go with Magnaflow mufflers and you won't be disapointed. As for rust your current exhaust is stainless 3" tubing so as long as the muffler shop welds with stainless wire (not many do) then you will be fine.

  7. As the Chinese man said when his mentally handicapped child was born...

    "Sum Ting Wong"

Something is not right Derek. I know you have been having all sorts of issues. I dont know how our trucks compute gas mileage.

"Sum Ting Wong" alright... you bought a s/c and your driving habits didn't change??? Put it to the floor and your mileage will go back to what your used to.

  8. My brother-in-law just got one and is being really secretive about it. I think that I'll be secretive about borroing my co-worker's SuperChips this weekend when we go ride 4wheelers. My truck is bone stock except the drop and I don't think I'll stand a chance otherwise.

  9. All the 6's are AWD. It was probably a regular 6 and not the MazdaSpeed. The Speeds are very quick. Good kill though!

If it had AWD it was a MazdaSpeed 6 (4 cyl. w/ turbo). The V6 Mazda 6 is very fast as well just not as quick due to the added weight and only 2 wheels spinning. Either way that's a nice kill.
