  1. I moving to 22's for the first time and need to sell the stock Silverado 20's. The truck has 11K miles and the tires show normal wear. The new VMAX won't turn'em over so no burnouts or drag racing. I have no idea what they are worth so I'm trying to get $900 rims and tires. The tires are stock Goodyear LS2's.

  2. dam guys im out in mass.!!! lol but i just recently shipped one and it was only about 15.00 from me to midwest i forget! lol....but if the price was right ide have no prob paying some shipping....what you guys looking for???

I'm in Texas but the price will be right. $25+ shipping from 77041. The hitch is off of a 2007 Classic Crew Cab. If it'll work you're welcome to it.

  3. I'm in Houston, but my wife and I have always wanted to visit Florida. It'll have to be in the TL though due to gas prices. Imagine how it'll look with a set of 22's strapped to the roof and a set of 19's hanging out the trunk and piled in the back seat.

  4. well i know some guy that has a 2 dr civic with a b20 crv block and a t3 t4 turbo and let me tell you that i raced him a couple of times and my truck puts about 5 to 6 length on his @ss,his runing a 14.6 at the track .............so its verry posible  good kill bro

My wife's bone stock '05 TL runs 14.5 all day. No mods at all just me runnin' the six speed up to 7grand @ every shift. If it was an old body style Integra I believe the kill. Nice job!

  5. IMO Magnaflow Cans P/N 14419 These are a "race" type muffler with straight thru flow. Sounds loud and unbearable but they are actually quite mild in tone. They are a single 3" in/out with 4" overall diameter. You'll need two and my cost installed in the factory location with no tail pipe modifications was $290 drive out. Like I said they had a very mild tone under normal acceleration, no cab drone, but would let you know when you opened it up. :D

  6. Well it kinda depends on your driving habbits. But anytime you increase the efficiency of your engine you have potential to gain mpg. I wouldn't hope for a whole lot but you might see a little increase under normal driving. Of course once you get into the boost you will definently suck down the fuel. It would also depend on how well the tune is done. I'm willing to bet you will loose a few miles per gallon at first cause it's going to be really hard to keep your foot out of it ha ha! :chevy:

You will probably see an increase (minimal) in highway and a decrease in city driving. The two should about average out so any gain in MPG will be small. Just do it! Even if you lose MPG you won't regret it.

  7. IMO you're gonna be "RIDIN' SLAB"with a 3/6. If I'm thinking correctly the DJM kit is lower control arms, 2 1/2-3 hour install, and a flip kit 2 hour install. $450 for labor ain't that bad. It will definately have to have shims and that could take some trial and error if you haven't done one. If they are a reputable shop let them do it, then again it's not my money.

  8. There are Dodge trucks a HECKUVA lot faster than a 10.2 out on the streets which run on pump gas. That SRT10 will have to up the ante to run with the likes of the quicker MoPar trucks...

We even have a diesel Dodge at our track that has ran faster.

    Examples Please!

  9. On the way home from work yesterday a Dodge came flyin' up behind me at the red light and was a little to close for my liking. I could tell he was younger guy and he was in a hurry. There was a Cobalt next to me leaving the light and at just about 30 MPH I had passed him enough for the Goat to get over. He had an exhaust so when I heard him mash on it so did I. He got about even with my rear door when my truck decided to down shift. (At 30 MPH the NBS FLIES.) I ran it up to about 80 MPH in a 50 MPH zone when I let off. I had him by atleast 2 trucks. After a couple of rights and a left with him behind me I figued he'd want redemption at the stop sign. I waited for him to get next to me and stop where he nodded and punched it simultaneously. I thought this race might have been closer since my truck is a TURD off the line... I was WRONG! Sitting there sleeping I realized what had happened and punched it myself. He spun the tires, I didn't, he jumped me a half of a truck from my drousiness but I quickly reeled him in at the top end of first. He quickly appeared in my rearview at the 1-2 shift and procedded to get smaller and smaller until 85 when I let off. Sorry for the long post but I've waited a long time to have a Dodge try me. :chevy: POWER FTW!!!

  10. sweet, iam doing mine this weekend also.. third brake light and then i believe we are going to try out the two part clear in the rattle can on a set of tails to see how that works.. trying to find a cost effect method and mine have turneded out great with the vht shades comments galore.. as long as your happy with the results thats all that maters.. right ??

Yeah, and I'll be going with LED's all around soon anyway. So if I screw it up royaly it'll give me justification for buying the LED's.

Who is the MFG. of that two part clear.

  11. Yes, they let light trew. Just add 1-3 (depending on how much clear you have) drops of black to your clear, very little and do thin coats and work your way to the darkness you want.

They said to thin the basecoat, not to add black to the clear. I used to work in the paint industry and can tell you that if your adding anything other than pearl to the clear you will have problems. I'm with the other guys in that I think it's a problem with their clear coats fading, changing colors, etc. I'm going to finish it the way I started and see how this turn out after six months if I don't have problem I'll do the tails.

  12. Since the ranting is over I have a question. When using automotive paint, does it allow the same amount of light thru? I just did my third brake light with model spray and have yet to clear them because I just sprayed them yesterday. I know that "painting" will give you the cleanest look, but I don't think you can thin it enough to let the proper (DOT LEGAL) amount of light through.

  13. I'm a salesperson at a stainless steel distributor and buying a sheet of polished stainless is not the way to go. You can't get the same look going that route. I'll have to do some research on the size of the mesh in the CTS-V but that material is attainable. There's a CTS-V right down the street and I could measure his mesh. I you really want the stainless mesh let me know via PM and I'll get it for ya but like they said stainless ain't cheap right now.

  14. Was the tuned NBS a V-Max? I don't think u can gain 50hp & 70 ft/lbs out of a tune. Tune the truck, it will be way faster.

Yeah, it was/is a VMAX. He has since went to a SuperChips, and let me stop you guys before ya'll start ragging handhelds, he's just as happy (maybe more) and the truck performs just as well if not better. As for the gains Jesse has done it on the dyno. As a matter of fact he did it the day before he tuned the classic. I was hoping to do appearance mods first on this truck, but after getting run with @ 80 MPH on the highway by a Tahoe that I know has only handheld, cai, tb spacer, and exhaust I'll have to rethink my plan of action.

  15. I totally agree with you. I had a classic body VortecMax and never had them side by side but if I had the Classic would have SMOKED the NBS I have now. I don't what they did after they put that motor in the truck (maybe a boat anchor wrapped around the drive shaft) but they sure don't put 70% of the 367 advertised horses to the ground. I know what everybody has said about TM and tunes but I've rode in a Wheatly tuned NBS and still think the Classic was more powerful. I hope that Jess w/wait4me performance can show me what this thing can do. I love Chevrolet don't get me wrong but from 07 to 08 they went backwards IMO. Jesse Bubb +50 HP, & 70 ft/lbs FTW.

  16. from what im hearing is that the 03-06 headers will fit the new body style, no body has done it, i dont think, but ive heard they fit, idk

I seriously doubt that the Classic and NBS are the same. I know that they have different heads and intake manifold. It would be great if they did though.
