yeah I wouldnt advise just "shutting it off" I would atleast try and see what the problem was. These guys are right. AutoZone can check it for ya for free. It may even be something simple you can do yourself!

 

Do the autozone thing, mines been going off as an O2 sensor if I run 87 octane here lately, it's a puky 4.8 but shes fot 112k on it now.

My 03 did the same damn thing then one day on a road trip shit just quit altogether, I chunked the deck and put in a Kenwood with an Ipod adapter thing, no more door chime though
