Does the stock Bose unit have an ipod jack plug in or aux plug in? I have done a search and have not been able to find anything.

Maybe not with the TRD SC. They were only getting about 200 FWHP with a good tune. But I know of some personally that were hitting 280 with a turbo and E-manage. Chris Rado who races the tC for Scion has a new style xB that has his turbo and he is pushing almost 450 with no internals. Crazy I know, but they are strong little motors.

Thanks all for the great information. I know it is a truck. I have had two Silverado's in the past, both with the 5.3L. I just wanted to get some ideas on where to start. I live in AZ so we have Arizona Speed and Marine who does great work with the superchargers and tunes plus a handful of other shops who could tune it for me. Also have a guy down the street who owns a performance transmission shop who said he could tweak the tranny. All the things mentioned and with the PCM already in the truck I am looking forward to having some fun. Again thanks for all the info. More to come.

As I patiently wait for my SS to be shipped I have been lurking around checking posts about performance and how well this truck runs. To my dismay I have seen that a truck rated at 354HP is being taken by cars rated at much less. I know the truck weighs close to 6000 pounds and there will be a percentage of HP lost through the drive train, but I would have expected some better results. Even better ¼ mile times from stock. I will be going from a turbo MazdaSpeed3 that was silly quick to a truck that seems to be substantially slower. Again I understand the weight and percentage from the drive train. I am very excited about getting the truck and look forward to “personalizing” it. So that being said what can I do to help the truck perform better and increase the ponies without breaking the bank on a supercharger. It is being shipped with a PCMforless already installed. How will this help the performance?

That is what I am afraid of. I know I would like to get a cover for the bed and a bed rug. Along with a good intake. I have had the Gaylord X2000 before and liked it, but have also seem the Gemtop which is pretty cool looking. Other then that I will leave it alone for a while. I am just afraid it won't be as quick as my current vehicle which is a turbo MazdaSpeed3. But I am sure with some quality engine mods I will make up for that.

I am not quite sure. Maybe he just had the key turned to the ACC and not running to show the miles. I can't imagine anything would be wrong with only 2000 on the clock. I guess we will see. I hope to have the truck shipped in the next few days. Should take about a week or so to get to me.

I have owned one of these cars and unless it was turbo'd or SC you should have been able to take him. Stock they are not that fast, only 150HP but the one's that are turbo'd or SC can push close to 250 to 300HP to the wheels and they only weigh about 3000 pounds. You will get him next time.

I called Fed Ex and they ship closed trailer and it is expensive. $1800. Ouch. thanks for the tip though.

Does anyone have dealings with auto transport companies or any information on what I need to look for in a good company? Trying to get this SS shipped and have been quoted so many different prices. I was thinking of flying out to drive it home, but that will cost me almost as much as having it shipped. Airfare, gas, food and lodging. Plus I don't want to deal with any snow or bad weather on the 1500 mile trip back. Any info would be great.

Right now I just want to get the truck home. I would like to pull more ponies out of it and leave the appearance stock. I like the sleeper look. I am sure I will be looking to you guys for help on power, especially this PCM thing. Never played with one of those.

Hey all, Some of you may have read my post regarding the availability of '07 SS's and most chimed in to say that they were no longer available. I even called GM to have them try to locate one on a lot somewhere with no luck. A couple of days later I get a PM from a forum member who said he had a Red '06 if I was interested. He stated it was fully loaded, never driven in the rain or snow, never smoked in and only had 2146 miles. Yep, only 2000 miles. After many e-mails and other information provided by the seller I decided to have a buddy drive 185 miles to check it out for me. He said that the truck was as clean as any showroom truck and that if I did not buy it I would be stupid. So I pulled the trigger. Now my only problem is getting the truck home. I live in Arizona and the truck is in Iowa. The seller is sending a PCM with the truck and has also put lowering shackles on the rear to level it out. I want to thank forum member stevebbb for getting in touch with me on the truck. I am looking forward to my new SS. I am sure you will see a lot of me on this forum getting information from other owners. Here are a few pics that he sent me. As soon as I get the truck home I will post more.

Thanks for the info. I did see an ISS on Ebay, but I think the guy lives in Florida. I live in Az. I have done a pretty exhaustive search and only found a few. I really want red. I have had a 2000 and 2002 Silverado. The 2000 was red and was totaled by a red light runner. My daughter loved that truck and has always wanted me to get another one. The 2002 was a custom show truck I rarely drove and had to dump due to bills. I have always wanted an SS. Here are a few pics of the two.

Hey all, I have been doing some searching and was wondering if the 2007 SS's are still available to order? I had a custom 2002 Silverado and really want to get another truck, but one with more power. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
