I got mine done the sound awesome... i like it incase any one cares dynatechs and high flows with a cut out sound great.... so the next random guy that wants to know there si the answer and just because you have 6000+ post does not make you a bad ass

Please dont rush to help me out in anyway anyone, I used to own a lightning and i know there were far less of them produced than the SS. but at least on thier forum people would at least respong to your post. I don't know why people are so fast to jump on people for asking a newb question on this site but they can't help out to a legitimate question. if i get banned what ever this site sucks

Well im in the process of selling all my speed parts from my lightning and looks like i might have enough cash by the end of the week to start buying some go fast goodies for the new SS. I have a question about the CAI for these trucks im stuck between the K&N and the volant is it really that important to have a closed box on the CAI or not my lightning did not have a closed box intake and it worked just fine

i know my truck feels pretty stout for being blue

I found the truck at carmax it was up in virginia i had it shipped down to texas. so far im pretty sure i have full long tubes and a corsa catback its 3 inch all the way i have no idea what the stock exhaust looks like but this thing sound great not to loud at idle but a beast when you get on it and my name i used to run track an U of H so it was all i could think of

well guys so far i love this truck... this morning upon more inspection i found some dynatec headers and at least the tips are corsa i have not been able to confirm if the catback is corsa or just has tips on it but it sounds amazing

Well after weeks of waiting for my insurance check and finally picking out my new Truck it has finally arrived at the dealership. I get to go pick her up in about and hour. Its a Blue 03 SS with 24K miles gave 18,500 for her. Im coming from a lightning but i love the way these trucks look and the comfort level is way better

well it was a big decision for me do i take the insurance money and get a new lightning or do i try something else out and after driving the ss i really couldn't stop thinking about how nice of a truck it is. all in all i think i will be happier and maybe i won't spend as much money on mods as i did on the lightning.

Well guys i used to own a ford lightning but after it got totalled i decided to go a different rout and after test driving many ss i finally found the one. Its a blue 03 with 25000 miles on it im just waiting for it to be delivered and i will be a new ss owner

Hey guys dont hate on my too much i just recently totalled my 03 lightning and in the process of looking for a new on i came across some really nice SS trucks. I would like to know how you guys like your trucks and if any of you have owned other fast trucks besides this one. I know stock for stock the SS is not as fast as the lightning but the whole time i owned the lightning i hated it being a single cab. Im almost dead set on getting the ss i just wanted some input
