  1. I have a new coolant reservoir, upper and lower rad hoses, and waiting for new radiator.I also have a new hose that goes from bottom of reservoir to plastic "y".. one side to t stat housing other side to heater core at the firewall. The return from heater cor is secured with a hose clamp, but the one I need to remove has some kind of fitting on it that I am unfamiliar with. How the hell does that come off? I haven't been able to find any info. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I haven't been on the board for a while and it has come time to start putting a little time and effort into my truck again. Seems like I remember a a guy who was getting really good feedback on his work. I know many will say do it yourself, but I watched a friend smoke his on a 350z and they looked pretty shitty. I would much rather pay for a "factory " look. I see there is a guy on ebay but not to sure about that. any help would be appreciated.

  3. ah our prototype exhaust! this will be available as a bolt on cat-back within the next 2 months. it will support over 650 RWHP, has NO drone, is about half the weight of the stock system, and is truly a unique sound that is deep and will never be confused with anyone else. it is available dumped, dual out the back, dual out the rear corners, and dual/single side exit (like OEM). will be priced better than most any other cat-backs. keep your eyes (and ears :D ) open for the thread for first orders!

  4. not necessarily. a 2.5" true dual system with the described dual in/dual out, works great. we use that setup quite often. that muffler you described has a built in X, so you dont need one on that setup. to give an example, my SSS currently has true dual 2.5" mandrel bends, no cats, into custom X, into separate round 4" magnaflow

'resonators', into separate oval magnaflow mufflers, then dumped behind axle. it makes about 600 WHP, and the system works great on it.

btw, even a "true dual" system should be running an x pipe. running one does not make your system NOT a "true dual", it is very important in a dual setup, as it helps equalize the exhaust gases in each bank equally. you do not want more backpressure in one side... not good

Do you offer any bolt on cat backs yet?

  5. So this 2-1 system would produce better torque than a true dual set up? I am running dynatech lts with their free flow cats that replace the stock system. Right now i have dual in dual out magnaflow muffler that I was just about to replace with 2 magnaflow bullets. I hadnt decided on x pipe or just straight dual.

  6. hello all. ive had my 05 for 2 years now and have done no appearance mods at all, unless you count my belltech 2/3 drop as an appearance mod. i have been eyeing a set of projector beam headlights from either stylin or auto anything. always like the way they look , however i did an hid swap on my bike and would like to do one on the ss as well. is there any way i can have both... iguess it would be similar to the euro and sport tuners that seem to have that set up? ive been reading appearance posts for three days... someone throw me a bone please.

  9. good day all, ive got a zippy shift kit thats been sitting in my garage for several months now waiting to be installed. my regular mechanic is on hiatus now selling tools for cornwell , so i need a reputable, trustworthy shop in nashville tn to install it. anyone from the area that can reccomend someone who wont half ass install it and act like they're doing me a favor. thanks

  10. started at 10 this morning. freind of mine opened up the shop he works at and we put it on the rack. at 330 i pulled it out of the bay. the truck spun the back tires for about half a freakin block!!!! this s__t feels awsome! dynatech headers and cats, already had magnaflow dual in/out muffler, volant cai, slp 160 stat, and tune from charlie wheatley. this truck should have come from the factory like this! and get this...we put the pcm in and the damn thing started and stayed running!! no relearn!! my guy said it was a stroke of luck that the new pcm was coded with the same key...he only had this happen once before. the truck feels great..at idle it sounds stock, but when i put my foot in itt... holy crap! cant believe i didnt do this sooner. only prob is im getting codes from bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor 2. the o2 s behind the cats. we reset it 2ce and they came back. its sayig the heater is bad in them. not sure how they went together like that. however before we did this work today i caught the muffler on a manhole cover causing the flange on the stock down pipe to bend and creating a hell of an exhaust leak. this is when the codes started. im thinking maybe they went bad in the time that happened until now. ill change both sensors in a couple days and see if that helps. but all in all this is great and BIG THANKS to charlie wheatley for the great tune and getting it to me in just acouple days. and thanks to my main man lucas for openning the shop, without a rack and air tools this would have taken me forever in my drive way and probably cost me my marriage and kids!!! :D
