will do. i kinda sorta figured all that. but if it was just a plug and play headunit/speaker combo i probably woudl have done that with scrapyard stuff. but teh amp and all that stuff may be a little more complicated with a non bose harness or whatnot. so ill just get a nice little indash setup and go from there. thanks for all the replys everyone. anddddd anyoen know any good name brands to buy bumper covers from. i have my heart set on a SS cover so no crappy lookin things with wings and doo dads coming off the side. and i am lookin for urethane. no fiberglass :-D

alrighty thank you sir! andddd do you know if its the same wiring harness? or is all that stuff different? question being, woudl it be cheaper to buy a new in dash, with speakers and amp ect or go and get all the bose stuff from a totaled truck.

hey guys, not sure if anyone knows this.... but ill try anyways. anyone know if a SS bumper/ bumper cover will fit on an 04 avalance with no body cladding. and also, does anyone knwo what the difference between an 04 with a bose audio system and an 04 without it, is it just speakers? or is there a hidden amp? or headunit different? any leads would be wonderful!

hey everyone, my names jim, im from new england. MA to be specific. a buddy of mine just got a black 04 SS and i get to drive it for the next 2 months, at first i wasnt overly impressed. after being in the truck for 3 days i am hooked. and checked out 2 last night for sale. one being an 06 intimidator edition. which was a nice truck but i coudlnt justify all teh extra money for it. and it also kinda floored me that being such a respectable truck, it still had drum brakes in the rear. the other truck i checked out was a... i wanna say 04. it was red with spraypainted black wheels. and some ugly pinstriping in all the wrong places. so i moved on again. soon enough i will find one that suites my fancy and will be in my driveway :-D if anyone knows any tricks to trying to locate these rare trucks let me know! and anything i shoudl look for right off the bat as far as buying a used SS? also im a HUGE jeep fan. i have a nicely built chevy powered wrangler.. if anyone else got a jeep lemme know id love to hear about it. well i look forward to staying! -jim
