i can relate to #5 with my cars lol when i had my camaro i had it for about 14months and was on its 4th set of rear tires when i traded it and they were bald same thing when i got the motor in my 82 t/a it had tires with good tread on em but it sat for 6ys so i went out and gave them a good farewell rear quarters look like theyve been ryno lined

thanks. i plan to do a lil of both visual and performance mods. its already a lot quicker than i thought it def. is faster than my dakota and close to if not faster than my 98 3.8 camaro i had lol. ive already debadged it and i plan to tint the fron two windows. it needs a hitch still im in the process of worknig on that a buddy of mine works in a salvage yard and says they have a 99 tahoe with a hitch i could get for $50 just need to make sure it fits if anyone knows let me know. im planing on doing some kind of exhaust to it eventualy but after doing more research and looking on ls1truck.com the bug is starting to hit me bad lol. im already looking at lt headers ory pipes maybe ls6 cam tune and posibly a maggie ;) i love the sound of a cammed up v8 but i like it smooth idle and i need some power down low since i may be getting a car trailer to pull my thirdgens around to the track adn auto-x events.

i got 18 being very easy on it just kinda poking around town just to see what i could get. i did the same back in the day when i drove my 86 t/a as my dd in high school and i got 21 with it and it was carb and had 210k lol. but my average depending on weather how im driving ect is 15-18 idk about interstate yet though

a few friends of mine have gmc and chevy pickups 4x4 ext cab and they get anywhere form 18-22mpg mix driving one has a 04 crew cab and he gets 22 i think he has a intake on it though

yea we cant wait. doc said cause of her growth or whatever she will be do on the 8th but its usualy good to say two weeks b4 and or after for when she may decide to pop out lol. yea i was surprised about the gas mileage though ill prob get a lot less on this tank though since i went out to town and played around a lil and got a couple kills under the ol yukons belt already lol nothing to radical just a few fast and the furious wannabees.

baby is due Aug 9 so far they say it is a girl so we decided to name her Kaityn Elizabeth we're very excited. well ive had it for over a week so far and damn i cant wait to start modding lol. im thinking about eventualy doing ls6 cam and intake swap but not sure about what else would be involved this is my first ls based motor ive messed with im most familar with gen 1 sbc and carb lol. i was looking at a set of OBX racing long tubes and catted y pipe but no one on the tahoe/yukon fourms know anything about them. i dont plan to make it balls the the wall fast but anything to help some gas mpg and a lil push in power dept is fine with me

well i finaly got back into a gm for my DD and got rid of that junk dodge! i really wanted a sss but couldnt find any near me in good condition and in my price range and since im gona be a daddy in aug i need someting to haul momma and the baby around in. well i got a 03 yukon xl it looks big and it is but its actaly the same length as my dakota was and i got almost twice the towing capacity my dakota had about 50more hp and im getting 18mpg city on 87 where i was getting 11mpg and 15 hwy in my dakota with 93. i love it i plan to mod it just dunno where i wanna start its also surprisingly faster than my dakota too lol so im happy

mine was a 86 trans am with 204k on it drove it for about 9 months and motor got a knock at 217k i loved that car so many good memories in it. i cant get rid of it thats why its sitting next to the house and been through a few diff motors until i find my idle combo for my first love h/c ls1 t56

hi there I'm Chris i joined a few weeks back just never made any posts. well i dont own a ss or equivelant yet but i am in the market i will be a daddy in August and right now my dd is a 04 Dodge Dakota and its ok but not much room and very poor fuel mileage plus its on its second motor and second rearend and has just under 43k on it so i plan to upgrade. at first i wanted a straight 4x4 silverado but me being the person i am im more into going fast than anything and i know if i get another 4x4 ill have the tendancy to take it somewhere i shouldnt. well anyway im a diehard fan of the f-body ive owned of them since i was 16. i still own my first f-body which was my first car also but at the moment its motor less and tranny less but a ls1/t56 swap with 4.11's out back are going in when funds alow. and my project daily driver ;) is a 82 t/a with a cammed 305 th350 2800stall 3.90 gears and tue duals. well anyway sorry for my rambaling but i hope to learn more about the ss silverados and trailblazers while im here and hope to meet lots of cool new people.
