  1. Well guys she ran decent, not what I expected but decent. I did a total of five runs; before the headlight removal-14.83, 14.84; after removal-15.01, 14.77, 14.75. My buddy was in the truck for the 15. I left the spare tire on due to it being a pain in the ass to drop and I have a bed cover, so I didn’t worry about the tailgate. I’m not sure if wider tires slow you down but I’m running my same times as I did before my headers/re-tune. I did jump from stock tires to 305’s, so I’ll put the blame on it. She definitely represented last night with 5/5. All in all, it was a good night. :chevy:

  3. I hate to do it guys but yes, I have to sell her. I'm the original owner, bought at Van Chev, Scottsdale Az, Jun 05. She's coming up on 28,900mi now and let me tell ya, I babied them all. I never took her on a road trip further than Flagstaff, Az and yes she's only been in Az. I'm religious when it comes to oil changes (Royal Purple 10W-30), tire rotations, ect. I'm on about 1600mi on the new tires, she's AWD so no burn outs. She has all factory upgrades, well except for the Clifford alarm w/auto start and yes she has a sunroof. Just a quick cap of upgrades, Airaid full intake w/TBS, custom tune, Dynatech L/Ts headers w/Hi Flow Cats and a Flowmaster, MSD wires, PE bed cover w/Bed X-Tender and a tailgate lock. Be sure to check my garage for details. I do have a custom sub box, two 12" P3s w/a BD500 pushing them. I'm asking $24,500 for her. :cry2:

  4. I just finished installing this and let me tell you, the sharpest looking bed cover I’ve seen yet. It’s a bit pricey but I think well worth it in the long run. Before attempting install, be sure to have a buddy handy because the canister weighs 120lbs. It’s run by remote but you can order a manual switch/harness or just install one yourself. The only downside is that the canister takes up 10-12in of bed space, though it does sit up on the rails giving you about a 5in gap above the bed. So far I haven’t been able to gauge to fuel savings just yet but I do know it dropped me from 2200 rpms to approx 2000 @ 70mph.

Here is the link, ask for Eric

  5. Despite what the dealership said, it sounds like your alternator. I’m not saying the dealership is wrong but it never hurts to check it the old fashion way. The quick & easy test for your alt; take it off and spin the pulley. If it spins freely/excessively, then it’s bad. You might also want to think of installing a power cap for your amp depending on your system. Good luck.

  6. I just installed a set of 305/50R-20XL KUMHO ECSTA STX on my stock rims and let me tell ya, it woke my truck up… looks wise. I was just up at Flagstaff, Az and had to do some minor off-roading with my quad in the back, YFZ450 plus tool box and gas can—maybe 500+lbs, never once did they rub. I say go for it. I would love to post a pick but while doing 90+mph on my quad, my camera decided to do a back flip out of my camelback.

  7. Ok, here we go again. I read through all the post and from what I read, the one simple question was never answered. Is there a way of finding your SS number? I don't care how many were made. I want to know my actual number. Now that the Silverado SS is no longer in production, I'm sure everyone would like to know their number. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
