thanks man! i will finish up the small remains tomorrow. then i will get it primed and painted this week, along with some colormatched mirror caps.

yeah, the chrome grille just didn't flow with the SS bumper.

almost there. it has taken me around 2-2 1/2 hours to do this. blew some of it off at the local car wash with a pressure gun. a little bit left in the bowtie area and on the outside corners.

gonna be adding a complete SS cladding kit and bumpers to my truck so i am now prepping my grille for colormatch. i think the SS cladding and bumpers will go perfect with my new 24" Raceline wheels and my 4/6 drop i know some guys will just sand the chrome and paint over it. but i feel alot more comfortable painting directly to the plastic (sand and prime of course) stumbled across this trick the other day. used a straight edge razorblade and tried it along the top edge of my grille. work like a charm ! it's a little tedious, but well worth the piece of mind. i was told once i got the chrome stripped off, just sand the plastic smooth. prime then paint. here are a few pics. last one is raw plastic scuffed with a red scotchbrite pad. after about 30 minutes. so far i only got one nick in the plastic. almost there !

soon to be 24X10 Raceline Stunnas with 295/30 24 Toyos test fitting the wheels in these pics. i am also in the process of gathering up all the SS cladding and bumpers.

would my 05 2wd silvy differ from an SS ? geometry wise ? i have no rubbing issues with them at all.

where are you located ? btw, i am debating about shipping it. but i know it will be somewhere around 100 for shipping.

i'd prefer not to. trying to pack it enough to make sure it is fully protected is almost impossible. this the whole bumper assembly, not just the cover. pretty heavy.

since i got the SS bumper on it almost a week ago and have had some time to see it on the truck, now i think i like the stock bumper/valance better.
