pretty sure they can do something to make it so you have one tune normally, and a more agressive one when you hit tow/haul button
Wheatley set me up like that, it's awesome. Only thing that changes is shift points, No engine performance changes.
Another SS in CT

I'm more than likely going to hang on to mine, I owe somewhere around 7K on mine. It'll be much more fun when i'm able to take that $526 a month and drop it into performance parts
Plus if i was able to trade it in right now, No way i could afford anything newer with as many option as my SS

First off, I'd go to another mechanic.
I'd also check the front axles and seals if you're get a loud clank/click while turned. How many miles does it have??
I'm sure more guys will chime in with there opinions, welcome to the site

I have a rattle as well with the window down only when closing the door though.
Bringing this thread back up.
Took car of the rattle with the window all the way down today. It was a bolt right above the window motor, not sure what it was for but it was loose, and now no more rattle. Took me a total of about 25 minutes, didn't remove the door handle and just peeled back the plastic to get to it.
Thanks again for such a great write up.

this same thing happened to me when i turned on my fogs (HID) one time, I think it may have drew to much power. But it was fine after one restart .
I run sylvania Silver Stars in my high beams, Just as good as the hids and don't need to warm up when i flash someone the high beams.

My girlfriends neighbors hated me for the longest time, I was running catless with dual glass packs (essentially straight piped). They all pretty much hate the guy that lives down the road with a worked rx7. The called the Cops on him, thought he was firing a gun in the air, but he actually bounced the rev limiter on it.
My solution to taking my truck down a tone was to put the stock muffler back and putting cutouts on. I can open them up when i want but still have the quite sound when i need it.

You'll see them, look around the frame rails up front. That's where i found mine.

Post some pics of the intake. and what are you asking for it.

If it was duramax I'd be all over it.
I'm in stamford, If you sell your truck and want an SS I'd let mine go.

Back when i had my jeep, these thing were in pretty good demand. I feel like since the economy went people have stopped spending that kind of money on there trail rigs. I bet someone out there is looking for them but i dont know what they'd pay.
To show every one what they look like:

well every one of the rental companies has trailors you can rent but so far when i tell them what truck i have they tell me it wont work bc the truck is too heavy or some other reason
Figure out the max wheel base/width that'll fit on the trailer, and tell them it's to tow a cobalt or something like that.

the only thing about the dolly though is i am going to have my motorcycle in the bed of the truck and maybe another motorcycle also i just dont want nada bad to happen and as for the dolly would i hurt the truck driving that far with the drive shaft out?
damn man, The way your talking i would make two trips or hire a moving company and just follow them down in the SS.
The only thing spinning will be the rear end, you'll be fine. Just don't know about two bikes in the bed. I think two is a tight fit anyways, my zx9 took up most of the bed alone.

Also interested in this swap, I'd rather put the 4l80 in now, and be prepared for boost and whatever else comes down the road.
