Both of my seats act like there is slop in the gears of the seat. This happens when braking/accelerating, but not when using the power seat motors. I have a 99 Silverado with power seats and it does not have this problem. I've searched and didn't come up with much.
Is there an adjustment or something I can do to remedy this? I checked and it is not the seat frame-to-floor connection, it's definitely in the seat adjustment mechanism somewhere.
Thanks!

Dude, Buffalo?!? I'm in Rochester.
Are they faded at all? My left one especially is faded... What else do you have left?

Ok, I'll ship it out Monday,

Ok, well I brought my new truck home today and one of the couple things that is wrong with it is the issue stated in the thread title.
I googled it and sorta found a recall issue but nothing specific. Does anyone have info on that or any typical issues that might cause this?
Thanks!!!

Yea, that's true too. I guess the only SS I've seen up close for an extended amount of time was an '06 and I never really paid attention much otherwise until now.

Yea, I've seen the threads about going TO digital and I won't bother if it wasn't original.
Thanks for calming my fears.

I'm looking at buying an 03 SS that has the dual slider climate control, not the digital one that I thought was standard, is this a bad sign?
I understand if it's missing a radio as people put in aftermarket ones all the time (who knows why, I never would!) but to downgrade from the digital one, really? The truck is in another state so I can't necessarily check it out now. Would a regular control panel plug in and work properly? I will definitely swap it back but I'm hoping it's just plug and play.
Perhaps it's just a BCM thing and the non-digital panel just sends the bare minimum to get things working, the dealer said the AC works fine and that's how he got it.
Everything else is legit from what I can tell and the autocheck came back fine.

dont swirls happen when you move a buffer too fast?
-
Mine did the same thing about 2 years ago to the day. The entire dash had to come out, the mechanic said something like there are 2 bolts that you can't get to unless you take everything out....
id prob belive him, bc taking dashes out SUCKS. i would never want to do it if i didnt have to. i used to work for a bmw/audi/land rover/porsche dealership in the bodyshop and i was so glad it wasnt me who had to take the dashboards or air bags out.
-
arent swirl marks are caused by using things that move in a circular format? sure a da isnt an exact circle but it still does that. i just do things by hand and 'go with the wind' in a linear motion. no swirl marks bc there isny any motion to make a swirl.

I was thinking the same thing. I mean, for a Furd.
i just assumed that went without saying. sorry.
lol
o/p what were you getting at??

they are peeling bc it wasnt scuffed/sanded properly. take them out, scuff with a grey scuff pad and paint away!

as far as i know SS stands for super sport.
that website is advertising it as Super Street. which still has the SS initials, but isnt exactly what GM refers to it as. so its just a marketing scam, doesnt break any laws that seem relevant.

looks like a s2000 from the front and rear and a rx8 from the side. the only nsx part i see is the wide b pillar

if your walls get wet you gotta totally gut the inside and replace the drywall, insulation, and probably the wiring. that shit will mold from the inside out. dont quit taking pics. you never know what insurance might want to see. and with so many claims in the area you never know how long it will take before they get to it.
dont do anything until an appraiser gets to it!
-
you better unplug what looks to be the battery charger!
-
and just bc its legal there doesnt mean you cant get in trouble for it here, lets say a drug test or something along that nature...

i LOVE everyone selling their trucks. that means more selection for when im ready to upgrade from the s10. idc about gas prices. a truck is a truck and nothing else can give you what a truck can.
my gf gets pissed at me bc we always have to stop and check out the used ones. it appears that if i wait till next summer ill be able to get an ss for about 13-14k nice!

so you want to go from gmc front end to silverado front end? well all the sheel metal bolts on, you gotta get the bumper brackets for the front bumper to bolt on. im not 100% sure about the ss cover, im pretty sure it slides over the regular silverado one. i havent been able to get anyone to confirm it.
and with the side cladding it double side tape and clips on. i havent been able to figure out how many peices there are, ive read 8, but that doesnt make sense as in which panels get it and which dont.
not sure about the rear bumper.
good luck and take pics, im sure to do this when i get a full size some day
