    So guys. I went out to get in my truck and once i parked on base. A friend of mine goes what the hell did you take your center cap off for. Looked sure enough it was gone. The thing i dont understand is why the hell they only took one or if there got scared. Anywho I called the dealer and damn way to much for a new one. So if any one of yall have any tips or know of a place thats cheaper ill be forever thankful. thanks again!!! Justin

    yes its awsome. im just so bored around here. ive seen other sss but they seem to be stuck up. i would love to get all the sss in the area together just for the hell of it. im in the ft. lewis area in the army. give me a shout bro. i need to learn my way around. :cheers:

    so my truck is 2wd dont laught at me lol. im wanting to chande my ring and pinion gears. just wanted to know if any of yall have done this and what kind of problems or wich ratio to go with. my engine is stock but im looking for a supercharger also. all i have done so far is put flowmasters on it. looking for a little help thanks dood's. :jester:

    Too bad to hear that, those are nice cars IMO. I hope that you and/or your wife came out ok.

     

     

    A lot of the guys here on the forum are genuine automotive enthusiasts and car crafters, most have a general appreciation for the automotive hobby as a whole and even with our GM preferences we know a cool ride when we see one regardless of make.

     

    Glad to hear you disagree with the trolls on the other forums, but I don't care about or have time for those haters or a pointless flame war. So there are haters - f'em; they've always been there, like background noise. My standard answer to the haters - OK so my truck runs 14.0 and theirs runs low-13's - low-13's still isn't much to brag about even though sure it's faster than what I'm running, but I'm not going to even hear about what "fast" is from them unless I'm talking with someone that runs down in the 11's because up to that point IMO it's just not "fast". In other words, shut-up while grown people are talking, you're still driving a slow POS just like I am. :laugh:

     

    And since we're on the subject - I've NEVER been told face-to-face what a POS my truck is; quite the opposite at least every 2 weeks I get a compliment on my truck, and after 4+ years I thought that would have stopped by now but it's still been that way since I've owned it. I've never been at a GTG, or at the track, or car show, or crusing in town and had someone tell me they thought my truck was a POS. If they want my attention they gotta do more than just spew on a internet chat forum.

    yea i know. i dont have any beef with them ata all. i just hate that there are people like that. if you have a nice ride you have a nice ride cant deny that, im first to say it not to proud. i just hate when you get one tracked minded folks that ike to gang up on ya in my opinion i think they just jealous. ive also meet a few guys that are cool and open minded and gave complements. hell my best friend has a new cobra and he loves my truck, but like i said im going to stand up for me and my fellow ss'ers. :jester: i dont have my vette anymore so i really cant say to much huh

    I agree. Sorry to ruin your parade bud but I don't have anything against ford owners cuz infact we have a stang in the garage. The only stangs you could probably beat would be a 98 or older gt but your not touching a cobra. My parents had a 96 cobra and it would kick my trucks ass granite it was a 5 speed and our trucks are heavier I wouldn't be to far behind but I would still lose. I like the mustangs especially the cobras they are nice built rides and that ride good and have good power on demand much like our trucks but I prefer a 5 speed or even a newer 6 speed cobra. I don't see why everyone is hating on other makes. I bet everyone on this forum likes at least 1 car or truck made by someone else.

     

    bro. ive owned 3 mustangs and 1 lightning. so i have other favorites. but when my 93 cobra got toasted by a stock 97 ss camaro in 97. i went and traded it the next week for one. plus my wife and i bought a evo 9 for her but its totaled now :( . we moved duty stations so i had to sell my zo6 not enough room for 3 plus luggage. but im happy with my choice. the reason i posted this is because all ive read from ford and dodge guys is how much of a piece our trucks are and i dissagree. im not wanting to argue or hate but its bs what they say. im just happy to be apart of this fam. and i will support every one on here.

    aww nash your gettin all soft on us lol. i hate mustangs!!!! everyone has one. its the me too car. "i have a civic", "me too". "i have a mustang", "me too." yes you can appreciate other vehicles. and the work that is put into them. but i bleed chevy! :chevy:

    if your truck is even close to stock, you haven't touched a '99 or newer lightning.

     

    most def. i know i dont have the fastest ss ever, but like i said i dont know if its the driving or what. i jsut pulled on a few. i havent beat them bad or anything. mabey its because we ran out of road. but im not trying to prove or say im anthing im not. im just happy to be here and be apart of this fam.

    well as for the new mustang gt. i was leaving a friends house, me and my wife just cruising along at speed limit. when i seen a car coming up fast. the ass past me up slowed way down. i had the cruise set so i passed him once i caught him. he pulled beside me honked his horn so i mashed it and slowly pulled away from around 70. i dont know if the fool couldnt drive or what but i was sure surprized. my truck is stock so i figured i was going to get taken but the tables turned. gotta love chevrolet

    so i really hate ford owners. they think there shit dont stink. i read a forum on there page. they all say our trucks are a waist of money and that they are heavy slow pigs. my ss is stock and ive beat numours mustang gt's, a few cobra's, and alot of aparent souped up lightning's. they just piss me off so proud and have something to prove. im just venting but come on guys i know ya feel me. :chevy: later yall

    hello every one. im new to this site. all ways had chevy. a 04 zo6, 02 ss camaro ect. im located in the ft. lewis area washington state. if there is anyone here with a ss or related vehicle and want to get to gether let me know. me and my wife are new here and need some friends with the same interest. thanks to all and this is a kick ass site. thanks again.
