As it says, have my engine covers for sale that came off my '05 SS, great condition. $50 shipped

Got a bed rug (actual name brand bed rug) for sale, fits shortbed, great condition. Took it off my SSS because I got rid of the tonneau cover, has sat in the garage since. I'm going with a spray-in bedliner so wont ever use this, need the space as well. I know what they go for new, but not sure what to ask. Figure $100 shipped is a good deal being that I want it out of my way.
As of now I have the sides unzipped from the bottom to ship, gonna have to spend some time folding and fitting into a box... For those who dont know, it fastens to the bed with velcro, which you'll have to buy and use the one side that sticks to the bed.
Thanks for lookin

an update on this, been busy and havent been able to get on. I traded the SS in on a 2006 GMC CCSB 4x4(black again lol) with the LBZ motor. I miss the SS, but couldnt be happier with this truck! Loving the power and also having a crew cab. Did the numbers and it'll cost me half the price to get this truck to the power I wanted my SS to have. As with the SS, I'm just waitin for the cash for a tranny. I'll still be on the SS site and try to make it out to all the meets if I'm allowed
-
Why dont you go EFI live instead of ppe? I recently sold the SS and bought a D-max myself, and yeah I'd never ever pay that much for a grille...
-
I had an "oh sh*t" moment when i read this and had to make sure haha, I sold my SS about 3 weeks ago and am not too far away from where this happened. But nope, not the same one, still sittin at the dealership I traded it to.

USAA is amazing, have everything through them EXCEPT the car insurance, they wanted like 60 bucks more per month than geico did. Seems like it's a hit or miss on getting the amazing rates everyone talks about with usaa

Hey have any of you guys tried this P90X. Im getting copies of the 12 disc workout but from what Ive read on the site each disc is a different routine. I know you do the workout for 90 sessions but I wasnt sure if u put one disc in and do that workout for a giving time then put in another disc and do that routine and continue each for that day. Or if you there was a set routine for each day. If any of you that have tried it can tell me how it works please let me know, thanx.
Not sure about the order u go in or anything, but I will say I've tried it before and it is pretty good, beats the hell out of ya

Eh, being a 22 year old e-4 in the air force doesn't really provide you with a kickass salary, so a nnbs diesel isn't really an option haha
-
Sweet, appreciate it guys, influenced my decision for sure. I've heard of the powerstroke having way more downfalls than the duramax or cummins, AND I also wouldn't own a ford lol
-
unless the military sends me there, dont have to worry about cali laws. Honestly I wont be towing, just was a different thing I wanted to try out if that makes sense. AND the simple fact of having a truck to take off road AND to the track seemed appealing. Of course I could be wrong, but it also seemed like they just had more power potential and durability. How's the gas mileage on the dmax's??
-
Been wanting to go diesel since day 1, just happened to see the SSS in the back of a used lot and went with it. I found an 06 duramax (from what I understand 06/07's have the better motor in them) for a decent price... I love the hell out of the SS, but what are the pro's and con's of the 06 dmax versus the SS? What I mean by that is for example the tranny's in our trucks would be a con
Any opinions would be appreciated, gonna go look at it again monday and do a test drive

it ant going 2 cost that much i can get it done 4 about $3500 and it still wont cost as much as a 4l80 swap with a good stall
not including repairs/new clutches*

idk much about those mazdas but i thought those rotary engines were supposed to be really good? esp turboed? why put another motor in?
They are good, infact most say they ARE replacement for displacement, a whole whopping 1.3 liters. A rotary RX-7 is meant more-so for curves, not straight line drag racing. Reason for the swap is mainly because you can pull more out of the LS than the rotary and the LS is lightweight. The rotaries are hell of alot easier to work on too, WAY LESS moving internal parts.
-
Just so you can get a glipms of how refined this engine is... let see a v8 do this.
The sister engine, with the difference of twin over cams and larger displacement, powers this little car...
oh i know all about them 850's personally, and they are a huge pain to work on.... Good friend of mine, bmw guru to say the least, had one and it was just badass, but theyre really not suited well to anyone over 6 feet tall lol. Hard as hell to find nowadays too

what about patriot's Lq9 heads for SSplaytoy's goals? May have had the same goal in mind myself, or even at that would these heads do well for boosted applications? I've just heard good things about patriot and was wondering if these were worth it

Yeah... Two weeks after i got my truck my diff went out, had to pay half for it ($500). And about a year down the road after a road trip it started leaking out the rear seal. Took it to em, gave me the bs of 12 month/12k mile warranty that i exceeded, pretty much told me too bad. Last week found out they pinched the vent tube when installing it so the pressure had nowhere to go... I could go argue about it but i dont feel like yelling and busting a blood vessel
-
no, no problems with the rear or hitting, except the front left tire rubs when I crank it all the way to the left. The handling and ride is just a little sloppy. I cut 1 1/2 instead of one, and have quite a bit of clearance whereas they should barely be touching. One of those OCD things, gotta replace and fix it

They have two locations but their one with the dyno is in columbus. Google em to go to their website, would link it but im on my phone. Think its just pickupspluscars.com, brady is their tuner by the way

Wow. My last truck was that same color white and at first it was nice then you just get tired of it, I associate white with work trucks....and those are the worst rims I've ever seen!!
which is why unfortunately I dont care for arrival blue... our fleet of trucks at work are really close to arrival blue, and of course every other truck on base (air force) has to be blue as well also... Used to be my favorite color till I joined
