  1. Got to admit I almost Crapped my pants when I saw the bill. Like I said though, If I had not had the warrany, I would have replaced it myself.
  2. Well fortunately It is under warranty. Total cost 918.00. Cost me 100.00. was replaced with a Delco pump and is warrantied now for life. If I had done it myself i probably would have replaced it with a Walbro or a Racetronix. Since i do all the work on my Camaro, It is nice to have someone else do the work on the truck.
  3. I have not, But I have only had the truck for 2 months. Can't say what the previous owners did.
  4. I use 3M adhesive and wax remover to get rubber from the track off. Works very well and is paint safe.
  5. Anyone else have there fuel pump go on them? Only 54000 on the clock!!! Just curios if this is a common problem??
  6. Nice pic's!!! Was fun meeting up with you guys. You all have some very nice SSS's. Maybe a little cruise next time would be fun.
  7. Gotta wash up the rig this morning. Was out till 9:00 stuffing a motor into a Z06. My buddy is coming with today. Looking forward to meeting you guys. See ya around noon.
  8. Well we have 6 so far. The weather is supposed to be pretty good. Maybe this will convince more to come out. Hopefully I will have some time to clean up the rig before Sunday.
  9. I have been using Zaino for about 4 years. Tried lots of other products, But I really like Zaino the best. It seems like it's expensive, but a little goes a long ways.
  10. Took a look. I think this is exactly what I need. I will let you know by tomorrow.
  11. Would like more info. and pic's please.
  12. Do you have pic's of the bottle heater? Might be interested.
  13. If you are starting from scratch, It is best to use Dawn dish soap to strip all the old wax. The to get all the impurities off the paint you should use a Clay bar. After that there are a number of routes you can take. I use Menzerna twins, which work very well to hide the swirls. Then I use a Zaino car polish. Too be clear, I use this on my NBM 99 Camaro. I will be using the same thing on my SSS when I get the time. Hope this helps you out.
  14. Sounds like you stay pretty busy. It's always difficult to go out on your own. But it can be very rewarding if you stick with it.
