I've actually been on here for a few months now, but I thought I would get to know my truck a little first. I have already learned alot from all you guys. I have an 03 SS with a stock rebuilt motor plus arp bolts holding it together(40k on truck). That's what happens when you get to much boost and it is not tuned right. I have an Sts turbo kit on it. I recently just got HpTuners and I am trying to figure all of that out. Thanks again guys, for all your help so far.

Thanks for the help. I am going to try to get ahold of Nelsons next week and see what they can do for me. Have you had good luck with the nelson tunes? I think I need to get a afr gauge so that I can watch what my ratio is when I am getting me detonation. Must be pretty bad to be able to feel it.

I've just recently bought a 03' sss with a sts turbo kit on the truck. I bought the truck not running properly. I am new to the chevy tuning and need some help. I am getting a lot of detonation at wot under full boost about 3k and up. So called sts and they talked me into going to a diablo tuner with one of their tunes downloaded to it. The pcm that was in there(the truck) had a nelsons sticker on the pcm. So called them and they told me they wouldn't retune the pcm unless I paid the full amount. So asked them to swap me for a stock pcm. I just received the new pcm. I went through the security process and got the truck to run. WHAT a disaster. I can not get the tuner to read the pcm at all. It acts like it is still vin locked. The chevy dealer here, told me that they couldn't even get into the pcm to access it (in Alaska they obviously don't know anything). So now I am stuck in limbo untill I can figure out what to do. Any help will be great! I love the truck, stole it for the price even if I have to pull the turbo off (I just dont want to).

I just recently bought an 03' ss that has a sts turbo kit on it. It only has around 40k miles on it. What a great buy. Now if I can get the help I need on here about the turbo maybe I can keep it alive. The truck is now up in Alaska so I will see how the remote turbo will last in the cold.
