Well I finally got & installed my Volant intake w/ powercore about a month ago. They sent a brochure in the box with a picture on it I thought was pretty funny so figured I'd share it with you guys. Ohh the disappointment.... LOL!

Good luck finding one in Texas if you're wanting to be selective about it. When I looked for mine 2 months of searchin in Texas didn't find squat hah! Always something.. too many miles or somethin custom cosmetic I couldn't get past. Couldn't wait anymore said screw it bought one all stock out of Grand Marais, Minnesotta. So if buying out of state may be an option for you... browse AutoTrader.com and do an advanced search. In the keyword box at bottom of search options type "SS" & you'll see plenty for sale.

Haha. I always see this other guy with a black SS looks pretty stock like mine but dropped and a billet grille.. I see him around the home depot / spring cypress rd parking lot around there. One night I turn off Barker onto feeder 290 he must of been behind me and passes me so I catch up, we're cruisin 290 side by side for a bit. Then right as I exit 1960 he punched it lol guess he wanted to race but I was goin to the mall hahah. Oh wells

Well the lts sound good but I live in harris co... very restrictive emissions. Doesn't the lts remove the factory cats upon installation? I'm thinkin that they do although not too sure..

Yeh.. that's what I've been hearing about the spacer & maf from others. Well, who in your opinion is the best tune? I know of the 2-3 main guys but I'm thinkin Wheatley because I heard he lives here in Houston & seems to be pretty popular on the site. Headers -- thinkin JBA shorties.

I'm wondering if anybody here has one or knows of someone who does? Is it better than a volant air intake? What are your opinions...? In addition, I'm also going to purchase an airaid TB spacer, JET mass airflow sensor, and a custom tune from one of the notables although not sure who yet. Soo opinions everyone?? Thanks.

Talk about BAD LUCK... I just noticed yesterday that someone or something hit the front bumper on my truck. I'm pretty sure that when those storms came in during that cold front the other day a shopping cart flew into my bumper. I have a 2-3 inch crack on the driver side bumper now near the air duct.. the force even pushed up on the bumper cover right under the parking lamp on that side as well. It's not that noticable but wow am I upset.... I always park way out in lots away from others to avoid stuff like this.

Thanks for the comments everyone (= Does anybody know the best way to get a dealer decal off without jacking up the paint? I got that "walser" dealer decal on the tailgate I want to get off... I google'd it and someone said to take a blowdryer to the decal to heat up the adhesive & it'll come off. Is that the best way to do it or what? Thx.

Eventually I'd like to supercharge / procharge it. But first thing I'm gettin done is having a viper 5900 alarm put on it this thursday. Then I'm gonna drop it I'd like a 3/5 but I can't find a 3/5 kit for an awd Ss only for 2wd so prob a 2/3.5 - 2/4. Maybe some simple hp upgrades such as air intake, programmer.. for now anyways until then.

I might have to do some running around tomorrow back and forth to college station, so I dunno if I can make it this time. My sister had some truck problems this week overheating.. dealer said some kind of engine poly seal or something defected & got oil in her radiator. GM will cover half the cost to repair so she has to pay 900 bucks out of pocket. She's suppose to get it back tomorrow I'll have to see.

Well, finally after a week waiting on an independent inspection I recieved my '05 SS on Sunday out of Minnesotta. She's absolutely gorgeous!! Perfect condition new car smell only 23k miles everything including moonroof. I've only been drivin it for a few days now and wow does it turn heads I love it! It's stock except for massive dual'd glasspacks back to the single outlet tip which rumbles pretty loud. Now I gotta go take care of my T.T.L. which is gonna suck haha.
