the settings on my aftermarket deck dont have anything like that besides the fader and its set dead center, i even tried it all the way rear and still no sound, i havent however tried to put a diff speaker on the wires in the back and see if that works.... good idea. i'll have top try that next time i get an opportunity

unfortunately i havent resolved it yet, i am thinking its going to be something with the bose amp tho. if i hook the rear outputs to the front inputs on the harness it plays through the front speakers , cant get anythig to come out of the rear speakers and crutchfield even sent me the new adapter in case that was bad but that didnt do it either, i really doubt the wiring has a problem since cables dont "break" that often and the only thing left to test is the bose amp. I even tried putting the factory head unit back in and that didnt change, still no rear speakers. I have kinda learned to live with it for now but i would love to hear the solution if someone else figures it out. the bose amps are about $100 on ebay just been putting my money elsewhere lately.

sweet! i'll check that out! My buddy had the idea of checking the grease on the sleeves for the bols on the caliper and they were dry as a bone so we greased them up and t seems to be alot better now too, was startting to squeak again with that new rotor so its not the rotors, hope its just needn grease... will know in a day or so, everytime i mess with it it doesnt squeak for a day or two then it comes right back so maybe it wont this time!

that looks sharp but how long does it take, i dont have any spare headlights!

alright, finally got it to stop squeaking! I just bought a cheap rotor from autozone and put it on! It's just hard to get the time to work on it, single with two little girls (2&4) so they keep me busy! now my ABS light is on! could the one odd rotor be doing that? i need to get new rotors all the way around i'm sure but the bendix ones were like 250 each!

ok, got all four rotors turned and sanded the pads a little and that lasted about two days then the squeaking came back same as before..... i'm frustrated

quick question...... can the bose amp be replaced with another amp? just cut the plugs off and wire in the new one???? I'm sure its not very powerful and the wires are already run.... anyone tried this?

where is that amp fuse??? i'm not getting anything out of my rear speakers right now...

i just put a clarion aftermarket deck in mine and its easier than an older truck i think, i have all the steering wheel controls but the onstar button and it works with all my chimes and onstar. The steering wheel control adapter and the truck adapter ran me about 135 from crutchfield but i also bought my head unit from crutchfield at the same time so they discounted the adapters. theier customer service is very helpful with the steering wheel control adapter programming! Now for some reason my rear speakers arent working and i have verified its not hte headunit or the adapter, they dont work wheni put the factory head unit back in so i guess i'm looking at the bose amp... anyone got any ideas for that one???

ok, i was thinking about getting the rotors turned (if they can be) but there is no shake whne i get on the brakes so i thought they might be fine. Its the only thing left to check really so i will try that as soon as i get a chance.

ALright, i consider myself a fairly decent wrench turner but i dont know whats causing this! When i am moving it sounds like the rear passenger brakes are sqeaking, it gets faster withspeed and stops when the brakes are applied. Its driving me nuts! So far i have put new pads all the way around, cleaned the ebrake and sanded the inside of the drum to get any junk out of it, checked all the bolts to make sure they are tight and cleaned all of it but i stil have this dang squek squek squeak when i drive!!!! PLEASE help!
