  1. You gotta save some of these for the Zippy event Brian.

    I'm back

While you were at the S10 nationals, guess where I was? Muskegon!!! Went to Michigan Adventure with the family. Had a good time. Wish i had talked to you before going though. We let my mother pick the hotel and she ended up booking us rooms at the Best Western Park Plaza in Muskegon Heights. Not exactly the best neighborhood. A cop told me I shouldn't park my truck there overnight so we took it to the Fairfield Inn and left it in their lot. Next time I'm picking the hotel.
  3. While I agree with you 100%, why does it worry me that a guy that drives around with a gun all day thinks that way?
  4. It's a toss up for me between the Beatles and Pink Floyd. Probably would have to go with the Beatles just because of the volume of their work and the fact that I can only think of 1 of their songs that I don't like. (Revolution #9).
  5. I like that. Wish I would have thought of that at the time.
  6. Only watched it once or twice. Funny thing is my legal name is Earl but I've always gone by Bob.
  7. Yesterday evening I went down to Home Depot to get some stuff. While looking around in one aisle, I see this guy about 20ft. away shuffling through a handful of pieces of paper. As he turns to walk away I notice that he drops something. I yelled to him that he dropped something and he looks towards me for a second then walks around the corner. Absolutely no response or acknowledgement from him at all. Curiosity gets the best of me and I walk down and pick up the piece of paper. It's a scratch off instant lottery ticket! A quick scan reveals it's also a $1000.00 winner. So I started looking for the guy and spot him a couple aisles over. I walk up to him and from about 10ft. away I said "Hey, you dropped this in the other aisle." This guy just gives me a blank stare and turns to walk away again so I raised my voice a little and said "Oh, this must not be your lottery ticket" He immediately turns around red-faced walks up to me and says "oh yeah, that's mine." He grabs the ticket out of my hand and walks away without so much as a "thank you " or " kiss my a$$" or anything. Everyone I've told this story to says they would not have even tried to give it back. His bad luck, my good luck. I gave it back because it wasn't mine. Just the way I was raised, I guess. Even though the guy was an A$$ I still felt good about giving it back. What do you think? Should I have kept it? What would you do?
  8. Saw the RHCP video for Dani California on MTV or VH1. I honestly thought it was a parody of Tom Pettys' song. Like Wierd Al Yankovic doing Michael Jackson. In a few scenes in the video the lead singer even dresses up like Tom Petty. I'd be willing to bet Petty (or his lawyers) knew about it before it was released.
  9. If you've reached the end, there's one thing I'm dying to know....What's on the other side?
  10. Seen it before. Not sure if it was here or not. I would have run his ass over the minute he walked in front of me.
  11. Never, no need to. She let's me do whatever I want with the truck. Then she just rolls her eyes. She says that at least she knows where all my money goes and that I'm not out drinking or chasing other women.
  12. Yeah, I remember you. We talked a bit. You sold the GTO didn't you? When it gets a little closer, I'll call some courses over there and let you know what's up.
  13. My plan is to get to Muskegon Thursday some time. Since Zippy and some people are planning on going to the dyno on Friday and we all can't get on the dyno and I really have no urge to drive 6 hours to watch someone else on a dyno, I figure I'll have some free time Friday. So, I was wondering if anyone is interested in playing some golf Friday or going to Michigan Adventure amusement park. There are some really good courses there that I'd like to try. Alternately the amusement park is about 1 hour north, cheap, (like $20-25 for all day) and never seen it crowded. 5-6 coasters, couple log rides, etc. Also they have a large waterpark. I know it's a while before the meet but I thought I'd see if there's any interest. BTW: I'm terrible at golf but love to play so you sure don't have to worry about a serious challenge from me.
  14. Happy Birthday and welcome to old age Brian. I'll bring some Geritol for us to the Zippy event. Check out the insurance rates on your vehicles and house from The Hartford through AARP. Saving me nearly $1500.00 per year total. Definately worth the $25.00 annual dues.
  15. Only Andy Rooney could get away with saying that publicly.
  16. Just goes to show that because you can afford them doesn't mean you know how to drive them.
  17. Looks good on there Lawrence. But, then, I'm a little prejudice. Glad you like it. Bob
  18. My neighbor has an 92 S-10 that I can easily smoke.
  19. First off let me say that I have absolutely no problem with people from other countries coming here to better their lives. LEGALLY!!!! America is THE ONLY country in the world where you can become a citizen. Try going to any other country in the world and ask the government to teach your children in English, pay your medical bills, give you subsidised housing, etc. Then bitch about it when they won't. See how long you stay in that country. I don't look down on any race. People are people. We all want the same basic things. Any human being that wants to come here and work hard to get ahead is welcome in my book. As long as they do it LEGALLY!! As far as the American citizens that want to sit on their a$$es and collect welfare, they should be more closely checked to see if they are really able to work and if they are they should be cut off immediately.
  20. Thought this was interesting, imformative and unfortunately true. > "Cheap labor" > > "The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such > thing as "cheap labor." Take, for example, an illegal Mexican who sneaks > in here with his wife and five children. He takes a job for five or six > dollars an hour. At that wage with six dependents he pays no income tax, > yet at the end of the year gets an "earned income credit" of up to > $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent, > food stamps, and free(no deductible, no co-pay) health care. His > children get free breakfasts and lunches at school, and require > bi-lingual teachers and books that taxpayers provide. He doesn't have to > worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. > Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins, and printed > material. He cannot be fired, harassed, or sued. He and his family > receive the equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in benefits, while working > Americans are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after paying their > bills and his, and paying for increased crime, health care, graffitti, > and trash cleanup. Cheap labor? > YEAH > RIGHT >
  21. Welcome aboard. Always good to have another Michigan member.
  22. Looks to be a good cover from what I've seen. You might want to check out the Extang RT. Even lower profile and a very good cover with a great warranty. Same velcro type closure.
  23. That's one interesting roll pan. Better to leave the bumper on than do that.
  24. That's what I'm afraid of---Going Once!!
