i have an 03 silverado ss and it keeps back firing sometimes when i take on at first when i start it up and let it warm up sound like its coming from up by the cats can i cut the cats out and weld a piece of exhaust tubing in its place and not throw any codes are any thing like the engine light coming on let me know thanks

Its about the size of a quater or 50cent piece when you sit in the driver seat and lokk up and to the left it looks like a mini speaker that's where the noise is coming from anyone else have this problem??? I think its for the blue tooth or maybe onstar but I don't have onstar

I have an 03 ss and the speaker looking thing above your head when sitting in the drivers seat makes a noise when my pickup is cold after starting then when it warms up goes away but its driving me nuts anyone else had this problem???
