It looks like a 2-stroke pipe off of a ATV or Dirtbike......but if it works..............ahh who cares its for a Dodge.
it does look like one of the HMF (i think that's right) pipes, haha.

Prayers with these officers' families.
One of our officer's was shot in the chest at his home when he opened the door following a drug trial. The suspect in this shooting has one heck of record from what I have ascertained, too.

quite impressive numbers from it, though....the tapered design actually increases air velocity if I remember correctly. I used to refer to it as a walrus penis.
I used to own a Dodge Ram, and they have some very creative people that try things that most people are like..."that will never work". One of the first guys to pioneer this owns one of the fastest 4.7L dodge rams. The shape is also functional as the turns never slow down the airflow.

looks good, I think you should add a shopman1 bowtie and smoke the third tail light and you'll be good.
Thatguyslucky.....what hood do you have?

if youve got a dremel you can follow a how to on this site. i had never ported anything before and im very happy with how mine turned out. i followed the how to and i did NOT "half the shaft" i felt like removing the shaft was to risky as i didnt have another tb incase something got bent or damaged. i felt NO hp difference but there was a huge throttle response increase. also fyi after the porting the truck would rev higher rpms on start up however the computer quickly compensates and after a few start ups w/ the higher rpms it was "learned out". if you dont feel like tackling this by your self there are ported tbs coming up for sale all of the time for under $100 on this forum and pt.net. good luck
I referenced the how-to on the site as well. Let me just say, holy shiat is it a lot of work. On start-up I have a different result, i idle lower around 700rpm. I also halved the shaft, too. I would say that not doing the step makes this job not worth it.
I also modified the idle area of the TB and sloped it for less resistance....I did not feel much gain, but the truck does do better in the upper rpm's (seat of the pants).

I had one rice burner kid ask me what size motor I had I told him a 6.0, his reply was wow thats fast for a 6 cylinder. I just said yeap lmao
+1.....
And I also get the "nice SS clone, it looks real" because of the cloth interior and absence of bose...
But the one that I get a lot...just like everyone else is....... "Does it have a HEMI?" I have yet to respond to any of them, I can't...it's impossible to when your trying not to just bust out laughing.

Check all of your blower speeds to make sure they work......
Will do, I just let it handle the speeds automatically...I am not even sure If it has a selection to go from low to high manually without looking (I know I know...I just like the fact that it controls the temps auto so much I haven't attempted to control it manually.
Gasemall, I'll re-check the amp wiring again...as I have it ran through the grommet for the parking brake....I know it's not touching but I'll check it to be sure.I would have thought that the inline fuse would have blown if it was the power wire shorting out.
-
Maybe my SS is broke, haha....The highest MPG to date is 13.5 and that was all highway at 65 MPH. If I drive around town and mix highway...I get about 11.8, no I do get on her every now and then but no where near what I would like.
Mods are CAI,True Dual Flowmasters, Ported and Modified TB, Zippy Tune, and 160* thermostat. If I saw 16 MPG in this truck I'd swear it was a miracle.
-
All electrical functions work. The only new item installed is subs. I ran the power wire through the a new hole in the grommet with the parking brake line....and it looks perfect. I don't know, I was able to zero in the smell around the fuse area after taking the cover off but there was no heat, smoke, and all the fuses (i checked as i got tired of pulling) looked good.
My wife was with me and she smelled it fairly strong after I had already driven about 15 miles...so i have no clue.

The TB coolant bypass will keep your intake temps more constant, however while you are at it you can port the stock TB, too. Take a dremmel and take some time...I have no clue if any real gains are made...and it's a lot of work. I also polishedup the blade and removed a portion of the rod that holds the blade in place.
The only real difference I noticed, just fyi, was top end.....which should help you trap an overall higher speed.
And Mr. P has a website.

This is hard to look at. I have a question for you as this is the only SS i know of to do this. Did you ever find the source of the fire?
I was driving my 05 SS the other day and it smelled like burning plastic....I checked every thing like 5 times. I don't see any source of melting etc. The best I could locate the smell was somewhere behind the dash..closer to the fuse area. I had also just started the truck for the first time in about 5 days....and ran the heat....eventually I just shrugged and wondered if it was coming from heating system.

anyone received one of these yet?
-
Thanks because if the fit is nice, this def tempting.
-
anyone experienced any fit on these?

Well after my PM from Mr. P....I ordered all 4. They aren't the S/T II....They are the S/T I's, which is fine by me as the tread pattern looks nicer. They are on and installed for 610.00 tax/mounted/balanced.
They look great and ride very well so far...only about 125 miles on them, lol. I'll get some pics up after the middle of this week if time permits for guys who are unsure.
-
mine is coppergoat2001....i guess I need to start getting on now, haha. I was wondering where the shoutbox went.
-
haven't thought about it...
I shot Mr. P a PM....if anyone else knows the answer to this, enlighten me....I still have time to order 2 more, it will just make for a tight 2 weeks financially.
-
So I guess this means that replacing the 2 rears for a 305/50-20 from the stock size for about 2 weeks is a no go, too. Mr. P....I also PM'ed you about the question.

Wassup guys I just ordered 2 of four needed tires for the SS, Toyo Proxes S/T II in 305/50-20. There is not a lot of information available on them. They look like a nice tire.
Any of guys have them and how did they do in the rain, dry, wet, and light snow? They will be mounted and balanced for $152.00 a piece, so I think I did okay. I was going yokohama parada spec-x's in the same size.....buuuut they were 186.00 a piece...I didn't really see the 136.00 extra for the set.
-
Nice truck....Nice forum name, when I was younger I mocked up TimeBomb Customs (car club)...lol.
I also drew a small bomb with angry face, short fuse and stop watchm lol. It was pretty sweet.....it was on my Dodge Stealth, with plans to do the 10 code for bomb threat, haha.
-
I have seen where someone stated that since they are mounted the stock 8.5" rim a 305 will cup...causing the center to wear faster. Anyone experienced this with 305/50's on the stock rims?
-
^^^ Same here, about to order them in 305/50-20....anyone widened them up the stock rims? It is between these and Hankook Ventus RH06's I think.
You guys think widening the tires to 305's is a good idea?
-
05on20s....how are you liking these headers? Has anyone tried them out?
-
are these plug-n-play? Looking into HIDs but I've never really messed with them, I just use the silverstar ultras. What type of life are you guys seeing on HIDs?
New Tires Ordered--not Much Info Available.

I have pics from my iPhone that I need to get up of them. I am thouroughly impressed with the handling and grip of these tires. However, since they are 305's they do have a physical advantage over the stock Goodyear 275's.
Been on for about 1200 miles, so it really is pretty early to praise them fully yet...but I am very happy.
