Wombat, where are you located?

Hi everyone, I am new to this site, I joined last week when I thought I had a deal going for a 2003 SS. But the dealership refused to budge on selling their truck that was worth $14,500, they wanted $18k for it. I figured I post up here and see if anyone had an 03-06 SS for sale priced somewhere in the neighborhood of $13k-$15k. I would prefer, in this order: Black, Blue, Red. Since most of these trucks I see have the same options, the only one there seems to be variance on is the sunroof. If it has one, great if not, no biggie. Truck has to be located somewhere in MO, preferably around west/central part of the state. I frequent KC quite a bit so that is a possibility too. I have a 2007 Colorado Ex Cab Z71 4x4 1LT that I will be looking to get rid of if/when an SS appears, so if someone out there wants a smaller truck, I may be able to help. What's the story with the blue SS in warrensburg? If you can get me info on it quick, I may be interested in it.

UPDATE!!! everyone loves those lol Went to talk to the salesman today. The deal they came up with is basically a straight-up trade, my 07 Colly for the 03 SS. I would have to re-finance my payoff amount on the colly, which is about $23k. I'm kind of at that point that everyone gets to where they KNOW they want it but they aren't sure if it's the right deal or not. I don't want to get screwed and take pride in the fact that I do all my research throughly before going to the dealership. The SS has about 88k miles, victory red, loaded with a line-x bedliner and hard folding tonneau cover. I think the only option it doesn't have is the sunroof. Runs good and looks good. If anyone has any input, let me know. I already tried getting a loan at one place, got declined, so I'm trying another. If that don't work, then I won't be getting it damned economy and credit crisis! what happened to the billions WE gave the bank to get the loan market started back up?

wow, it's been there since the summer? hmm...yeah, i hope they do. i have printouts from NADA, kbb, and edmunds showing what it's worth and what my trade in's worth, and if they won't work with me then i'll walk. I show it worth around $14,600 or so. It needs a couple things; the tailgate has a small dent in it and the tailgate handle trim fell off, but it's on the back seat. I actually got to spend about an hour or so in it today, driving it around like it was mine lol. It's a really nice rig.

Yep that's the one I'm hoping to take a look at. Did a lot of my research on it with NADA and Edmunds, hopefully they are willing to work out some sort of a deal with me. I would think they would, with the way the economy is I bet business is a little harder for them than usual. Guess I'll just have to go up there and find out.

Like the title says, I'm new here. Always loved the SS, and I am thinking about getting one here soon. I currently have an 07 Colorado, and I like it, but it isn't no SS. Me and my friend were up in KC yesterday and I looked at/drove a 2005 SS that we saw on a dealer lot, but I don't think it's gonna work. I think it's overpriced and not in my price range. There's a more local dealer that has an 03, victory red with about 75K miles on it for $17k and some change, it books at around $15k, so I may try and bargain with them for it. If the wife lets me, we still have to talk about it more. Well just wanted to say hi!
