  1. Hey all... I have a 03 SSS that I've installed a remote start kit into. It gets hot here in AZ, so if I can start the truck before I get in, I wont burn my hands on the wheel! I've replaced the battery on my key fob, which, of course, increased the range somewhat. I was hoping to get considerably more range than I currently have. Can anyone give me advice on how to increase the range of the key fob or make the truck more sensitive to the stock key fob?
  2. Ok, truck fixed. The right cat was plugged up, so I replaced them with 'new cats' and it runs WAY better now!!
  3. If you have something else to scan besides a code reader that can get into the factory datastream, GM has log info on cylinder misfires, like what CHASE mentioned. It would be a cinch to see what cylinder is misfiring, if you do in fact have one that is ... Wish I did. Looks like I will be taking it to the stealership tomorrow to see if they can figure it out. Hopefully it is an emissions issue (cats, O2 sensor), which will be covered. Otherwise, bummer for me!
  4. Codes scanned. None present. Fuel filter replaced (just in case, it's been replaced within the last 20k miles already). Symptoms still exist.
  5. 83kmiles on the clock and I am the original owner. I've done a few basic mods to the truck (03 Silverado SS), which includes a PCM upgrade, volant intake and cat back exhaust. I've been incredibly pleased and impressed with my truck, but have an interesting problem as of very recently. The truck doesn't like to rev past 4500rpm! Anything over and above that, the truck feels like it falls flat on its face and the check engine light comes on and flashes. Keep driving at a lesser throttle setting and the CE light goes away. The truck drives normally at RPMs under 4500 ish, even at wide open throttle settings. I do regular maintenance and have followed the maintenance routine set by the owners manual. Any advice as to what could be causing this problem!?
