  1. hi i'm a big fan of chevy and ive seen a 03 silverado ss ext cab for sale and im planning on buying it. My question is that the ss for sale is automatic and i was wondering if it is possible to take a standard tranny from another silverado and swap it with the one for sale? Is it possible to do this and how hard it would be and how expensive? thank you for your time.

hey zippy ive been reading this post about cams and well from what im reading it seems that the stall converter has to do alot with the cam u pick . since my truck is stick shift does that matter alot becuase im looking into buying a cam just dont know wich one can u advise me on a good one my truck is a daily driver and i want something that will give me power and well sound mean and agressive.

  3. You will need an adapter plate to make your stock TB work with an LS2 manifold. The stock truck TB is a 3 bolt TB, and the LS2 is a 4 bolt TB......

  4. My recomendation would be the Trick Flow TFS-30602001 cam. It's spec's are 216/220 .560/.560 on a 114LSA. The duration is mild enough to have a slight lope and yet will work with a stock torque converter. I would recomend a 2600 converter, but in a 2wd that might just make for a tire burner. That cam will also work well with a blower and a few guys on here are using that cam with a blower right now. Peak hp should be around 5600 to 5800 with a shift point of around 6200rpm. This cam is also good for a daily driver in that it isn't huge on lift which will help with valve guide, seat, and spring life. I would recomend using an LS6 spring with this cam.

    Thumpr 275THR7

i have a 04 silverado 6.0 5 speed and ive been looking into this new comp cam thumpr do u think it willbe a goos application for my truck
