  1. It may be a mistake on my part answering this, seeing as to how you seem a bit hostile, but I will take a shot on clearing it up for you.

GM had/has a lot of greedy people who were in the biz to just make the big bucks for themselves. There was a lot of corruption and misappropriated funding, and not too many people who had the most control had interests in the greater long term good of the corporation. Not gonna start a pissing match with you on the quality issue either, but some GM vehicles are filled with flaws, recalls, and cheap material. For example, the Silverado. Front diff problems, steering shaft, tailgate cables, cluster issues, rear window seal, and even a class action lawsuit on their motors because of piston slap. That right there is enough to say something about the quality IMHO and I am a GM guy. Always have and always will be. It's not the trucks fault nor the robots that built them or the people at the assembly plant. It comes from the designers and engineers and the people who give the ok to put it all into production without greater testing and make the decision to use cheaper materials for cost benefit. I can go on and on, but to make a long story short, GM had their head up their ass is a figure of speech implying they couldn't/can't see all of their problems and/or fix them and needed gov't assistance to help dig them out of their own grave.

Thank you for answering the question for me couldnt have done it better.biggrin.gif

  2. well since i decided to just keep my truck and not go up to a 3/4 ton diesel i decided to spend a little money and buy some new wheels.. i totally love the new look except i think it needs a 2 inch drop now. but i need to find a kit that will allow air bags so i can still tow my car on the open trailer behind it. anyway here's a picture. 24's with a 295/35/24 tire fits perfect

I almost got the same rims for 1200 but i just invested in go than show this year. They look great even better with it lowered.

  3. hmmmmmm.... first thing i noticed were the screws that hold the cladding dont look like the originals, second was the ac controls...not digital, and third was the single disc cd player....

could be a clone.... but it could not... so just pointed out what seemed odd to me.

  4. i dont recommend dual 3" pipes at all...flows way too much for the motor and sounds like crap. IMO

thinking about going y pipe with on single muffler my options are still up there i just need to get it done this weekend sound clip would help if anyone can provide some.

  5. oh ya awesome, shouldnt they have pipe in stock and use whats needed when installing it?

they have very limited supply of stuff there as in pipe you have to bring your own for my situation.

  6. just measure how long the truck is from the wheel back if your exiting near the back , add a few extra feet (x2 because its dual) and then you'll know you'll have extra. how are you bending it ?

We have a auto shop here on pendleton they got all the tools for bending, cutting and welding.

  7. i have ran into them not coming off before. i usually just break them off. its like they get rusted in or something. i usually just grab them with a pair of pillars and pry them off. they wont be any good after that so i hope you dont want to use them.

Yup i figured that out today so i had to get a new set of plugs.

  8. Yeah CA has the most Fd up rules for smog thanks to the the tree huggers.....I went to a muffler shop to see whats up and the guy was talking about 700 bucks a piece for CA smog legal cats so screw that im still throwing on my LTs this weekend now that i got the time to do it no cats too take that tree huggers.
