  2. :withstupid: I'll have to fix that too. Thanks

Well crap!!!! I thought it was an onstar speaker as well and it's been buzzing for 3 years... I had them disconnect it when I took it in for service... I guess now I may have the answer to my AC question I posted in an earlier thread... Can anyone tell me if this would cause my AC to either blow ALL cold if set on 89 or below and only blow hot when it's on 90?

    Thanks,

    JDA

  3. with auto temp control, it blows slower as your set temp is reached...

My issue is a little different... I took mine in to be serviced prior to the 100K rollover and since I've gotten it back, if you have the heat set to 90 it blows as hot as it will possibly blow but anything under that including 89 it will blow as cold as it can possibly blow...

The previous mentioned issue of it blowing hot sometimes and then cold sometimes, I had that issue a few years ago and took it in for service and they couldn't get it to happen either... but it was mysteriously fixed from that point on...???

Any thoughts on my current issue?

    Thanks,

  4. My driver seat does the same thing or did. I used to have the easy exit driver seat turned on but it was messing around with my seat warmer and tripping it on and off. I then shut off the seat recall and manually adjusted my seat so that the warmer worked and that I was comfortable and havn't had a problem since. I figure it is a short somewhere when the seat moves back and forth.

Definitely the element... Mine did the same thing and warranty covered it before I rolled over 100K... Service dept. guy said he had never seen one burnt so bad... I know it lit me up a couple of times pretty good before it went out...

    Good luck!

  5. What else are you looking for? I have parted out a couple of trucks and still have quite a few parts left.

I have center caps for $16 each and I have a passenger air duct for $14. Prices do not include shipping. Pics below:

I'll take the center caps... How many do you have? The air duct I'm undecided on because of the scatches on it. How much would shipping be to 65708 with and without the air duct? How would you want to handle payment? I might also be interested in tail light lens, floor mats, etc... Can you IM your contact information to me? Might be easier just to give you a call.

    Thanks!

  6. I guess Ive been lucky. I'm at 102k now and the tranny is fine, actually im going to run at Ennis Friday. Ive got about 100 track passes and all thats done to it is Shift Kit and Stall. The cam and all else has been in for about 40k.

I too have over 100K on mine, have pulled a boat for 3 years and have not ran into any issues.

  7. Welcome!! I usually see a few SSS's when i visit my sister in Leavenworth! The town ,not the pen!

Until recently I've been able to enjoy being one of only about 3 SS's in this area... They are starting to pop up now quite a bit more... I had definitely been the only Arrival Blue one in this area until about a month ago.

Time to start making mods...

  8. hey!! welcome!! there are about 13 of us gettin together in K.C this weekend... there is a topic on it. check it out and come one down if you are free and close enough!! buncha great info on this site and even great people!

I'm in the SW corner between Joplin and Springfield. I wish I could make it this weekend but unfortunately, my home remodel work will take precedent this weekend... I'll be in the KC area next weekend though visiting family.

  9. Hello everyone... I bought my SS the morning after it was backed off of the car hauler in August of '03. First time I had seen one and was on my way to work when I spotted it.... I turned around to go back and take a look and drove it home.

Glad I found this site and to have the opportunity to share in other SS Silverado Enthusiasts joy of the trucks.
