  1. Hi Tony, Thanks again. I put the 4 degree in and all is good! Kim
  2. Hi All, Have a 2007 new style crew with a Mcgaughy's 3/5 kit. Kit is set at the 4" position in the rear. I purchased 2 deg and 4 deg shims from Belltech. I had been advised on how to put the shims in from Norcal (fat part to front or fat part to rear). My old posts were deleted a while ago and am now ready to install. Any advice? Thanks, Kim
  3. Thanks! I will try the flush and get the stat in. Question, if I have Zippy update my tune how do I apply it to the truck? I think he is out in Vegas now. What is needed to apply the updated tune? Thanks in advance! Kim
  4. Hi, My 07 Vmax has always run at 210 degrees. Never moves. Its been real hot hear in MI. Just noticed that my temp creeps up to 230 in stopped traffic. Maybe I just never noticed it before. The fan comes on and brings it down to 210 again but still never noticed the fluctuation before. Coolant level was down 1/2 gal and the truck has 80,000 mi. Never changed the coolant before. Any recommendations? I have wanted to put the 160 thermostat in but do not think the thermostat is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Kim PS unrelated - I had some fun with a Foose F-150. You know 450hp supercharged 500ft lb torque whatever... 3 times I showed him the chevy emblem on my tailgate!
  5. Hi, I guess this is a slightly different truck but I tow all the time with my 2007. I have a 3/4 McGaughy's without c-notch. What I did was address the issue at the trailer. I modified a weight distribution hitch for the lowered truck. Before I had this I would occaisionally hit the bump stops. Now I never hit them. When I apply the chains it lifts the back of the truck an inch or so and basically cures the problem for me. The hitch company advised me not to alter their hitch but I did it anyway. About 3 years in use with absolutely no issues. I have attached a picture taken while I was doing the mock up on the hitch. Hope this helps. Oh the trailer is 16' and 3350# dry weight. We are at 5000# loaded.
  6. So what do you recommend I do the help the vibration? Should I bring the nose of the pig down 2 deg or 4 deg?? I would assume that this would reduce the front & rear angle by a few degrees......? Also what kind of shims work best? Thanks Kim
  7. Thanks! For the gokart information check out our site www.pktaxles.com For the Rotax kart pics check my son Alex's drivers page. Hope you like! Kim
