  1. Yes I'm really bummed at pontiac's fate, look at all the awesome new models of new sports cars that are heavily modeled after older classics like the new camaro body style. Knowing gm, if times were better I'd bet we'd have seen a new firebird on the same chasis with great styling that was a throwback to one of the classic years. Now that the federal gov. is in charge I don't have alot of faith we'll see anything really powerful or stylish again.
  2. I'd take either color, just so long as it isn't the god awful yellow my local dealer has.
  3. I have no idea why they made these front wheel drive, however since it is a DD and PA gets some crazy winters I'm kinda glad they did.
  4. I loved the older ones as well, I was a sucker for the early 90's era. I even test drove one at the local dealership on two different occasions but at the time couldn't afford it. The daily driver gave out and I spotted this and thought it might be fun. Nowhere near the zip of the early 90's era but still a pretty nice ride with some go power. Looks like it will be a full time job keeping them both clean and shining. Also Thank you to everyone with the warm welcome to the boards, I stumbled upon here looking for a part number for a taillight that I broke on the Silverado, the advice was dead on and the truck is back in shape. looks like a great community!
  5. Thanks all glad you like it. It has actually been in my family since it was first purchased new, and was fully restored about 5 years ago, unfortunately the engine finally gave out last year after 89K, replaced it with a Jasper 6 and kept as much of the original set up as possible. Being as it was bought during the gas crisis it doesn't have one of the more spectacular engines of the time but it def runs very well and looks sharp. I don't think there are many of the redbird edition left, it was a pretty limited run along with the blue and yellow birds. There is nothing like getting in something with that much hood if front of you, lol. I figure with Pontiac becoming extinct its good to have around to remind people of the brand that was.
  6. 1979 Firebird Redbird edition. Not an SS but thought you guys might like to see it. There aren't many around anymore.
  7. Just added a 04 Impala SS indy edition to the fleet in black, it matches the truck very nicely. Let me know what you think.
  8. Just wanted to say thanks again for the help. the tail light came in and my truck is back to looking great. Soon as we get a nice day to clean it up I will get some pics up.
  9. Bought mine in 2006 with a few miles on it, finally got the note down to 9,000 almost own it free and clear. Can't wait.
  10. Nice fleet, glad to see I'm not the only one with an auto addiction
  11. thanks NTMD8R, I really appreciate the help, and so does my truck.
  12. Hey guys been all over the web with mixed results and stumbled upon this forum. I have a 2003 Silverado SS. Last night I was backing my boat into a tight spot and the bow of the boat knocked out my rt (passenger) side tail light. I've been looking for the part number all over the place and can't find one. Here is the Ebay auction that I'm looking at to replace the tail light complete with part number 15183561. anyone know if it is the right fit. Thanks for the help and hope to spend more time here in the future. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-CHEVRO...18#ht_500wt_961
