HI! I bought a 2009 Silerado. nuthin fancy but I love it just the same... wiithin a month I had to take it in for an annoying creak / squeek I in the steering column. After having the steering column replaced (by a dealer closest to me) and the noise STILL there, I was told by the dealer, that it was a nuisance noise and that I had to live with it. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they told me it was SIR coil. I read a little bit about this on the internet but couldnt find anything on SIR coil failure. What would happen if the coil fails? , can anyone help me??
