  1. I just rebuilt my front diff this week. Ordered parts from completeoffroad.com in a rebuild kit for $139.95. It is a very complete kit. If you are reasonably inclined with a wrech you should be able to handle it. The crush sleeve is a bear though you have been forewarned. Tightening it broke my vice and almost my hand. Just do the reseach first and have what you need ready. Just saw the link, that is it. Check out IndianaSS post for details on rebuilding.
  2. Thanks for the write up. Your detailed instuction gave me the confidence to do the same repair. I have always shyed away from differential work from the horror stories and lack of knowledge. It was not as bad as I expected even after the research. My carrier bearings were self-destucting as well. The advise and information shared by all in this forum is great. Thanks again.
  3. Stealing a Ford is an act against God, since Jesus was a Ford man. At least that is what I assume when the Bible says Jesus walked everywhere he went.
  4. Dukes of Hazzrd theme song is missing, and sqeeling tires in the dirt. That's funny stuff right there.
  5. Nice Pics, are all those cars a decade apart '67, '57, and maybe a '47? Anyway nice cars and great pics.
  6. There is a sigh just before that curve that says "WATCH FOR FALLEN ROCK". Brilliant!
  7. Had to up the SS count in the garage it was getting a little low... Actually just wanted rid of the Mazda C-X7 poFs. I got to welome my wife to the Chevrolet family. Gotta question for you all, will a climate control unit from a 04 SSS fit in a 08 TBSS with no modifications? My wife wants the digital climate control over manual controls now, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I remember listening to John on every gameday, Bob Kessling doesn't even begin to fill those shoes. My dad has been in broadcast since I was born and I have been fortunate enough to meet alot of "local celebs" but never got to meet him, would of loved to though. GIVE HIM 6 TOUCH DOWN TENNESSEE. A timeless quote only John Ward could have done right. Thanks for the post, and Happy Thankgiving to you all.
  9. I can't believe it did not push a piston out of the caliper. I don't think i have ever seen a caliper that would cause a worn pad to close enough to grind thru a rotor. Seems fishy IMO.
  10. It was either use the SSS or the wagon station to haul the Xmas tree. Wasn't really that hard of a decision. Merry Xmas in July, The Grizwalds.
  11. It was either use the SSS or the wagon station, it was easy decision. Christmas Grizwald style.

  13. Thanks, I joined because of the post about sport trucks coming to an end, so we need to enjoy them. I haven't seen any reviews or info on Kenne Bell s/c, is there a thread comparing them to a TVS? Comment welcome as well.
  14. Long time visitor just signed up yesterday. I have a black 04 SSS stock...for the moment. Really like the site. Lots of great tips and help.
