im unsure of the prices on these, would 1200 for it all be too much?

hey i have a friend that is trying to trade me a 6.0 out of a hummer. its a low mileage motor got 40 some thousand miles on it. comes with brackets, water pump, fan, starter, flywheel, harness, exhaust manifolds, flywhee, coils, etc. complete minus throttle body. i pulled the heads on it and it looks to be in great shape, i believe the mileage to be accurate. im toying w/ the idea of swapping it in to my 04 silvy. but i thought id post up a feeler thread and see if anybody was looking for one. just make me an offer on it and ill try to work something out w/ you on it.

im sure he could but if so id say youd be the one to have to clearance the edges and such and decide wether or not it would hit your paint or etc. if you want one, i can have him make you one thats all together, probably for not much more, but if so, its your baby so to speak. haul@ass to answer your question, the cab corners are different for a ex cab and a reg cab, as the reg cab corners have to be made longer. we were tossing around the idea of doing regular ones but they seem to be pretty cheap on ebay and decided against it as they are soemwhat labor intensive because of the roll around design w/ several stepped spots in it. we talked about doing all the cladding at onepoint in fiberglass but decided against it after we put my urethane type on my truck. we were worried that if the mold didnt come out 100% straight that it would never be able to be held on at the top by two sided tape, but that is once again like the one piece spoiler mentioned above i can have him make you one but if it doesnt fit exactly im sorry, its yours. the pieces we have done so far, the spoiler and the bumper, have turned out very good, spoiler is pretty much scuff and shoot, bumper just needs one spot fixed on it that i have seen in mine, but im hoping he fixes it in the mold, but its nothing noticeable, just a swag on the bottom next to one vent, can be mudded out in about 3 minutes, have had a few people mention it, but not heard from anybody for sure yet on parts, if you want to go ahead and order something let me know, and ill post pictures of the iss spoiler in a few minutes

Any interest from anybody, still waiting on pictures of the iss spoiler, should have them up today. he's kind of needing the work right now, if anybody is interested in covers, spoilers, vents, or spoiler end pieces just pm me and ill try my best to get shipping quotes, or i can help out if you are pretty close. i.e. knoxville to lexington as far as trying to meet up.

well, i guess that more or less depends on where you are, and yeah its fiberglass.

hey ill try and take some pictures today of the spoiler, and its got the bolt in it already that goes into the bedside, but as far as the 2 little brackets, he doesnt have those. but carl makes them for 30 bucks w/ a template and hardware if youd be interested in that.

if i can get one on loan ill take it over to him and see if he cares to make one, im sure he'd still be cheaper than some of the others. anybody wanting a cover or spoiler? i figured there would be quite a bit of demand for them on here

im not selling them, im just posting them up for a buddy of mine who makes fiberglass stuff. i thought of that, but i guess its him not me, but there again, i see them all the time as a one piece selling on ebay, so apparently they dont care. he also talked about making one a couple inches longer being that the cladding sits about 2 inches lower to look at it from the sides, and i guess if he did that, it would no longer be infringement correct? thanks for the imput though, just trying to help a buddy out, if you know anybody thats interested send them my way or tell them to send me a pm. thanks

heres some mediocre pictures of the cover and how i mounted it, please forgive the vents being kinda cockeyed, i drilled the holes in the wrong place. but ill get them fixed eventually

hey ill take some pictures in a few and try and get them up. i just two sided taped the top and screwed it inside the wheelwell to the lip on the bumper and it seems pretty solid. he makes the bottom edge (the stuff under the metal bumper) an extra layer thick to try and get away from having all those brackets.

my buddy just pulled a mold off of an ss bumper cover and he just made me one, they are 3 piece (the vents are seperate, not like the cheapo one piece ones from ebay) and over all they turned out really well in my opinion, i put mine on today, and the fit is really good, has all the indentions for the bolt holes if you chose to go back with regular brackets, or like mine, i just bolted it up and went, havent had any trouble yet. hes offering the covers for 200 with vents, he said hed also do vents seperate if anybody needs any of just those, im not sure about the price tho. he is also doing the ISS spoilers (3 piece as well) for 150 if anybody wants any of those. also may be doing a pair of single cab ss cab corners, depending on the demand. he's wanting to get atleast 3 orders in before he orders in the materials and makes em. just let me know if anybody is interested.

well perhaps somebody needs it for their clone w/o the cladding, its brand new, i just want enough to get a cover.

hey im not sure, i bought my stuff from a guy who totaled his 03,and he had just bought the pan, its new, unpainted, and he didnt say where it was from, i should know more about it when i get it in the mail here in a few days.

hey i just bought a kit, and it came with a roll pan, and im not wanting to go that route, so if anybody wants it, ill trade it to a factory bumper cover if they will pay the shipping on it, or local pick up is welcome, kit should be here monday or tuesdayish, so ill try and take pictures then.

hey ive been looking for some ss cladding to no avail, any suggestions, and im going to ask quite possibly the dumbest question ever asked on this site, is there any chance of the aftermarket picking this stuff up?

i talked to him the other day and i thought he was a little high on his prices, he asked me 1500 for just the cladding, no bumpers or brackets. i was hoping maybe two or three people had 3 or 4 pieces that i could combine and not have to order as many individual pieces

hey im starting to build a white ss clone, and ive located a front bumper, but need everything else, and yes i know this is going to take forever to find all the pieces, but ive got time. would prefer a whole set, but will take it in pieces, just let me know what you have and a price, i am in south eastern kentucky btw.
