Hey guys, I'm a US ARMY Infantry soldier currently serving my last month of my last deployment, getting out in December! Been in 4 years, and finally found the truck of my dreams, a black 2003 Silverado SS. My dad just picked it up for me (payed with power of attorney) back home in Mount Sterling, KY and it's ready for me when I get home next month!
Truck already has a cowl hood, dual exhaust (I might change it after I see it... Apparently it's turned down and tucked out-of-sight behind rear axle) and an Airaid intake. First thing I'm doing is putting new rims on it, black on black. Also replacing corner lenses with clear, and thinking about a smoked third brake light.
Tell me what you guys think!
After my last deployment I bought a trustworthy-but-not-so-intimidating 2003 S-10, standard cab. The truck has been great to me, but it's nothing to brag about. Now... Now I have something to brag about!

Is it normal to be THIS excited about becoming a new SS owner? I mean, I know I'm in Iraq and everything, and don't have much else to think about but it seems like EVERY WAKING THOUGHT is occupied with visions of my new truck. It's all I can think about, which is why this site stays up on my browser pretty much 24/7. Sorry, just had to get that out
