  1. See, told ya I didn't know much. I'm learning.....er trying to anyways. Haha. Thanks for letting me know though. What's the difference between the LS1 and LS6? Just head/cam specs?
  2. DUDE! Thanks! About the VVT, what exactly does it do? And will it be cost effective to eliminate it VS running a VVT cam? Would a nice set of springs/valves, an angle job, P&P, and a big cam give me about 50-60 rwhp?
  3. Like, CNC'ed heads and a good cam? Get rid of the VVT stuff? I talked to a guy at Texas Speed and he told me it would be arounf 4k to put a cam in. Sounded a bit on the heavy side to me, but I don't know much about costs or motor building. I want to gain 100 hp at least. And I wouldn't mind a very, very heavy cam lope. I appreciate the help. It's really hard to find knowledge on these trucks.
  4. Rad dude. We'll have to go catch a beer @ BWW or Fox and Hound. I work on a rig in Franklin, other side of Hearne. I go to College Station about twice a week. I think they are. I have the 6.2 in my truck. I thought it was the LS3, but someone told me the truck versions are L92. I guess kinda like the 6.0 is a LQ4 or LQ9 and the 6.0 in the cars are LS2s and LS6s. Idk? It confuses the hell outta me, hahaha. Here's a couple of pics as she sits today on the rig. My Denali My Denali My Denali The mods I want first are 22" chrome KMC Slide rims, 2/2 or 3/3 drop, color matched Rhino Liner, and 12k HIDs in the headlights and fog lights. Still deciding on the motor...
  5. Thanks for the help guys. I think where I'm at is deciding if I wanna stay out of the motor and go with simple bolt ons, or get all in it. What is involved in a 408 stroker? Let's just say CNC'ed heads, 408 stroker, headers, tune.......what's the damage? How much did it cost you guys to 408 stroker the 6.0s? I mean, a 408 stroker powered Denali sounds pretty sick......lemme know what you guys think. I'm not afraid to spend a little cash, but I don't wanna spend 10k for 100 hp.....
  6. Tyler, sir. But I'm always in DFW. I went to Bowie in Arlington.
  7. Hey guys. I have a 2007 NBS GMC Sierra Denali 2WD. Getting any performance info is like pullin friggin teeth! My end game is something like 500-550 hp at the wheels ALL motor??? My thoughts anyways. Don't know if it's possible...all motor is a must though, 500 hp or not, and I'd like to maintain reliability. What is VVT and what does that mean for me and my cam selection? 6L80 is my transmission. Where do you find performance parts? Better yet, will a 6L80 handle 500-550 at the wheels with a VERY aggressive driver? And I'm not sure on the rear end. I'm pretty sure it has 3.53 gears. Don't know if it's a 10 bolt or a 12 or something else???? Some dude said it was a 9.5 inch? I appreciate the help guys. It's hard as sh*t to find anyone who knows anything about these trucks. I brought it up to my local "truck" shop.......they looked at it like it was from Mars, and then tried to sell me some crappy Superchips kit that was for a 5.3, and a bug deflector.
  8. Sup. Been browsin the site awhile. Saw some pretty bad trucks. Wanted in on the info here. I'm 26, from Texas, and drive a 2007 NBS GMC Sierra Denali 2wd. No SS, but hey....it's a GM!
