  1. Selling my SS as i would like to buy a car. It's a 2004 and it is AWD. Very clean and neat. The grill and bumper inserts, as well as the SS emblems are painted a dark gray, was going to do the wheels as well, but life is getting ahead of me. The windows are at 5% tint and the bed cover is painted to match. Tires are 90% life, always Mobile 1 oil. Driveline oils changed at 60,000 at GM dealer. Fuel pump at 75000 also at gm dealer. This is my favorite vehicle i've ever owned and i love it. Wish i could have done more with it! It has 84000 miles on it now, but i am still driving it ~150 miles a week. Everything works! Looks even better. Asking $16900 firm. Location: Eastern South Dakota
  2. I was replacing the cover on my SS and when i pulled it off i noticed that someone did a very cheap job repairing it from a hit at one point in its life. Soooo i am now looking for a good condition front bumper support. I'm in SD zip 57212. GM wants a pretty penny for one.
  3. she's at the dealer right now, they think that indeed it will fall under warrenty, so thanks guys!!
  4. Why would they do that? My truck has no warranty left on it that i know. Or just policy, i wanna know before i call so i have the info It is under 7yrs and less than 70k though
  5. Hey guys, had my truck for a little bit now, and there is something wrong with the speedometer. I haven't tried to chase anything down yet, so i though i would first post about it. Anyways, it has a couple of times, jumped to 60 mph, and then treaded the 60 mph position like 0. (IE, 40mph in actual speed, my speedo says 100.) The only way to fix it i've seen is when i disconnect the ground on the battery, which leads me to believe it is maybe a bad VSS? Also sometimes the speedo sticks, then "hops" 3-4 mph to "catch up" to the real speed. Kinda odd, but simple to fix i think. Also tonight it just went dead for about 30 minutes, till i stopped, turned it off and left for a bit. Then it worked again. Everything else worked fine just the speedo is acting up. Ideas?
  6. It was overloaded on the tongue for sure and it definitely was a pull. Also there are no trailer brakes so i had to keep that in mind as i cruised along the highway. Pulled it in 3rd gear at 65-70 mph all 80 miles home. It took some time to get up to speed, but i also didn't floor it, i took it easy. I think trailer mode was . I wouldn't make a practice of pulling this much weight though. Besides no trailer brakes stink, i had a car pull out in front of me that i had to brake for, and worse than that, they slammed on their brakes later at the last second when they turned off the highway, i was a little worried, but got it slowed in time.
  7. I'm in South Dakota. Picked up about two inches today from 10-1, but its mostly melted off now. I don't like to see it either, there are a lot of crops in that need to be harvested yet!
  8. Brought home a new manure spreader for the farm. Thought you all might enjoy pictures of a nice, big spreader being pulled around. Kinda of a mixed message going on. You might be a redneck if...... Yes, it was snowing as i pulled it home. Nice, crappy roads. For anyone who cares or wants to look it up, it's a Kuhn 2044 spreader, it only weighs 9440 pounds.
  9. Broke my left tibia in football Broken thumb, and 2 fingers, all separate accidents 6 stitches from rolling a 6 wheeler cutting deep into my leg, plus road rash 4 stitches from almost cutting off my toe on a saw when i was little Torn ACL, stretched MCL and PCL, bruised femur and tibia, 2 cartridge tears, all from a motorcycle accident. Surgery didn't hold the first time, so had to have ACL surgery again. I work with animals and on a farm, so many bite, claw, burn, and metal puncture scars.
  10. Thanks, and i know those are not stock I meant it more as a drivetrain modifications.
  11. thanks for all the welcomes guys! I paid 17500 for it, that seem about fair?
  12. Well, i finally own a SS silverado. It's a 2004 AWD Arrival Blue Metallic with 54,000 miles on it. It's stock....for now......
