  1. I only thought weight could be taken away not added. But if so eveything else about it would be fine?
  2. I need a crank for my SS but im not sure what one i can use. Its a 03 LQ9 with stock rods, .030 over flat top Wiseco aluminum pistons. Ive heard the bob weight of the lq9 is more then the lq4 and with the new lighter pistons i had my stock crank balanced but if i get a Lq4 crank will it have enough bob weight tobe balanced.
  3. I just got done doing a complete over haul on my trans, got it put in filled with fluid and iy wont engage in 3rd or 4th gears. Anyone have some advice on whats could be goin on. It doesn't have any DTCs.
  4. I'm rebuilding my trans in my 03 SS and I can't get any input shaft end play. It had a (ID #) 69 shim on the input drum under the bearing I also tried #68 and #67 shims but still have no end play. I tried every everything I can think of but can't figuar it out. I put all new seals, 3 molded seal pistons, a new 3/4 drum, input drum, beast sun shell, red alto frictions, koleen steels, corvette servo, extra wide reinforced anchor red alto band, and a used case (the old case was cracked around the band anchor pin). All my clutch packs are within specs and my drums are seatting all the way. Do they make shims smaller than the #67 and does anyone have any ideals?
  5. Its a pretty good price. I got mine with a Magna charger, boost cooler, steel cowl hood, dropped, wheels, bed rug, engine back exhaust, bear brakes, CAI, and a BBK t-body for about that much with 42K but it did have some trans problems

The harrness I got from Nelsonperformance.com it has 3 relays, 2 fan pluges, 2 grounds, 2 powers, 1 wire that goes into the 42 pin on the PCM connector closest to the engine, and 1 wire for the high speed of the fans that gets tapped into a green or green w/ white strip wire in the harness just to the left of the junction box on the engine. Well I tapped into the green w/ white wire because it had 12v but I didn't notice that the clutch wasn't engaged and its supposed tobe and the green wire didn't have the full 12v. It made the one fan come on high drove it like that until today, did the rest of the testing and found out it was the wrong one, switch it to the other one and both are running on low at operating temp. I dont think that cause the A/C problem but I dont know.

On Saturday I installed 05 - 06 factory electric cooling fans on my truck, I did make a slight mistake with wiring them in but it wasn't a very big deal, now my A/C compressor isn't coming on to turn the fans on high. I haven't used the A/C in a couple of months but it worked then and I don't know if its been coming on or if its supposed to come on with the defroster. I checked the fuse and relay and they are good, tried jumping the low pressure switch and had no change, checked for power at the compressor and I get 7 volts very quickly on start up and it goes to 0 volts, with the compressor pluged in on start up the clutch engages very quickly and then dissengages. My truck has electronic climate control if that matters but i don't have any other problems with it. I did have to disconnect the battery and the PCM to put the fans in. Does anyone have any info on this for me?
  8. Its AWD with a magna charger and has 41K. Any suggestions on how to rebuild it to take the power.

My truck didn't seem to want to shift out of 1st if I gave it more than 10% throttle and when I would give it more than that I would leave off and then it would finally shift, its also squealing when it shifts, and when I go to WOT it seems to go into neutral and squeals. I had it to a local transmission shop and they told me that theres no codes and the programing and computers seems to be ok, but the computer is comanding it to shift into 2nd and 4th but the trans is just not shifting and they think the anchor for the band broke off but they can't be sure with out dropping the pan. Does this seem right or does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking of a complete rebuild does anyone have an exact parts list and where I can get them or any suggestions on how to build it to last?
