Sounds about right. Said it had daul battery's. 4.11 gears and the coolers. Just trying to figure out the trans and if I can re tune it. I'm sure I can. Just need to find somewhere in the philly area

  2. Lol the dude sounds like a retard. I also think he means the tow/haul button. You actually have to push the button to use it though, so no need to tune it out. It's on the tip of the shift lever.

No he said it does it without pushing the tow/haul? I'm going to look at it tonight so I'll see what's up. Just trying to figure out what all the camper package details

  3. Hey guys. Looking into buying a2003 silverado 2500hd for my daily so I can park the SS for the weekends.. The truck has a camper package on it though. Does anyone know exactly what this consists of. Guy told me when you let of the gas it's almost like there's an engine brake? Can that be programmed out for better gas mileage? I need info?

  4. There are alot of options, mostly depending on budget. I would either go with a set of Trick Flow 225's or PRC 237's with chambers setup to be around 63-64cc. From there I would order a set of Cometic gaskets in .041" thickness at 4.000 bore for the gain in compression. The cathedral port heads make great power if done well, but compression will be very important in making them work since you need more cam with them than a rectangle port cylinder head. If you do that with a cam such as an MS3 or Torquer V2 and a very good flowing intake (and 102mm TB) such as a Holley High Ram, Victor Jr, or Fast LSx (car version) you should have a mid 12 capable truck with a 4000 range stall. Another way to go would be to use an LS3 port style head such as a Trick Flow 255, GMPP CNC LS3, or PRC 255. With those heads I would recommend a Holley High Ram, Fast LSx (ported only), GM LS3, or Victor Jr. (with plate to bolt 102mm throttle body directly to it). If you do the LS3 type of heads you will keep the chambers around 68cc to keep the piston to valve clearance as high as possible by avoiding milling at all costs. All three heads listed flow massive numbers and part of this is with big valves which can hit the LQ9 pistons which have no valve relief's if you aren't carefull. Running a cam similar to the 281LRR HR13 (231/247) will get you the power band you'll need to also get into the mid 12's. The rectangle port has the shot at making more power, but carefully done both will be very strong. The 4L80E will slow the truck a bit, but the taller first gear will help in keeping tire spin down.

Thank you that's a lot of help! Not sure my budget is gonna allow me to swap heads/and intake as of now... Probably just gonna do and cam/stall and get the trans built some

  5. Our beaches are pretty hard packed down here in SE Texas... It's pretty much a rolling party most weekends... Truck looks great!

I'm hoping to make it down to Texas with the truck one day. Know a guy who has a house on the beach somewhere in Texas. Hell of a drive from pa though. I also saw another black SS on the beach today which I thought was cool. Guy knew what was up haha

  6. Looks like you didn't even have to air down. Looks like a nice spot. How was the fishing?

I dropped the tires down to 25 and 20psi. And fishing could be better. Gotta try drinking a little less at night so I can get up earlier. Haha we'll see what happens

  7. I assume the bumper is getting a reshoot?, how bad do your tires rub with that drop?

I got a whole new front bumper and ducts. They were cracked and broken. And not to bad. Left front rubs worse. And they hit the tops of the wheel wells every once in a while if the truck dips hard. And I took the bump stops out in the rear and rolled the fenders. Putting helper bags on it this week though cause it bottoms out once you put something heavy in the back
