That is awesome man! I've got an old 95 F150 that I feel the same way about and have been trying to find again for years. Glad you were able to get her back, had to be a great feeling!

I agree with Dan. I don't own a boat and have very rarely put on in the water, but how does this happen? I've seen other similar post and always get lost.

Are these still there??

I think that just might be the Websters definition of a "keeper"

3 deployments, 1 to iraq and 2 to afghanistan. The lot that the military would contract out to store personal vehicles was an outdoor lot. The people that ran it were awesome, but that doesnt help with the sun on your clear coat. Sure, you could store it on your own and pay for it but I never had the money for that. The lot wouldnt put any covers over the vehicles even if you provided it. Way to many vehicles being stored. Now I have the clear coat peeling off my truck faster then your girlfriends panties on prom night. Living in the barracks there was no other option. http://www.semperfivehiclestorage.com/Photos.php Here is the link to the storage site. Again, they did have indoor storage. But it is would have been out of pocket.

Looks awesome! Thanks for some ideas. How well are the door poppers working for you?

What kind of hood is that? I would kill to get that for mine. Also where did you get the headlights? Looks great man keep up the good work!

I would kill for this hood. Mine is utterly thrashed from the military leaving it outdoors during a deployment. Where are you located so I can estimate shipping?

I finally at the point where I can start picking up nice parts and really start working on my SSS but im not sure where to start the planning process. Im a decent mechanic but I dont know how to chose a cam, pistons, etc for what im wanting. Suggestions?

This would be funny if I didnt have a friend just buy something similar and start tattooing his gf and himself. Now is fricking hilarious!

Wheels look good! Good luck with the sale.

Looks good man! I had my truck set up to do the same thing but ended up falling into a great deal on some rims that i couldn't pass up. Are your emblems blacked out as well?

Previously (as my SSgt always put it) I was a professional in the application of violence, now im a Well tester with Schlumberger.

So last summer I was deployed to Afghanistan and had my SS in military storage. The place that actually stores the vehicles is great, only problem is that it is stored outside the whole time. When I got back I found that the paint on my hood, front, and rear bumper have the clear coat flaking off. In typical military fashion I was advised that there was no way I could get it fixed on the gov'ts dime. I recently took it to a paint shop and they quoted me around 2200 for everything and I about had a heart attack. Is this what I should be expecting from everywhere? I live in Houma, Louisiana now so if anyone knows anything close that would be amazing. Thanks for the help gents. -Derick
