Hey Bill Did you ever find the problem ? I have the exact problem with my 05 and have been all over this site trying to find an answer with no luck.

I don't know i'm pretty new to the site , and haven't meet anyone yet just chat alittle with some on this site.

Thanks everyone found lots of info on this site and got the bulb changed out too, will post some pictures soon once the snow clears up some and the truck can stay clean.

Hey i have the very same year truck and the same problem , what did the dealership have to say about it?

Just bought a Black 05 and love it, its hard not to floor this thing it has lots of power, but trying to change the licence plate bulb is really testing me!!!
