i recently put my spare on due to the fact that my back right broke a belt... the dude at the tire barn told i had to change all 4 or the transmission will burn up.... IS THIS TRUE!!!

yeah just bought my trcuk from a used car lot as i was dirivng off the lot only on accelaration i heard the growling that your talkin bout, asked the salesmen and he said they all do that, i knew somethin wasnt right, carrier bearing and pinion out in the front differential... thats what it sounds like to me especially if its an AWD!! 04 victory red 60,000 no warranty carrier bearing and pinion

my uncle put it up on the lift and stuck a stethoscope with a needle on the end to the front differential, pinion and carrier baearings are rough riding almost grinding so time to rebuild but my unc said he could rebuild it for his price!!

sounds like a hard grinding roaring sound only when i give it gas, stupid question where is the drain plug on the front differential and i hope thats what it is just needs new oil cause i bought it from a guy who just let it sit for awhile, its an 04 sith 65 thousand miles on it...thanks for your info and where is the plug and is it hard to change?

it doesnt do it while im rolling at any speed when im out of the pedal, just when i barely and i mean barley push the pedal down and its the same pitch everytime it doesnt get louder or softer just the same pitch...

no matter how fast im goin.... 10-15 mph or 55=70 mph, if i barely push the pedal down i get a loud roar from the front end, very annoying, is this a normal sound for the awd or is there a problem but its only on acceleration!!
