I had the same problem when I first bought my SS last year and it drove me crazy. I too thought it was the leaf springs and thought about replacing the bushings. I sprayed PB on the leaf springs to see if that helped the squeak, but it still remained. I ended up replacing all of the shocks and that ended up being where the squeak was coming from. .Hopefully this helps you

It could possibly be the steering shaft. This has been a common issue. Theres a nice "how-to" write up on how to remedy that problem. It takes all of maybe 10 minutes.

Pull the fuse out, then reseat it, then walla, unlocked.

I'm telling you. I love this forum. I have been going crazy having the same issues and cant seem to locate where the draw is from. one day it holds a charge and the next its dead. Replaced the battery twice on warranty and the alternator and the battery still dies. I'll have to check the starter and see if thats the culprit. If it happens to be the remote start, is it possible to replace the bypass module without redoing the whole thing?

I use the iSimple iPod adapter hooked to my stock stereo (Bose 6-disc) and it works great. its about $150 and fairly easy to install yourself. Best Buy sells them or you can order them online.

I have the Edelbrock AIS on mine and they are excellent shocks, cant go wrong with Bilstein either.
