  1. Hey guys i got my block done and heads done for my mud truck build.its ready for 383 rotating assembly.my heads are dart iron eagles with 2.05/1.96 valves and i dont know what piston to run or cam. Im looking for good compression....10.5-11:1 maybe a touch more.but what i dont know is if i can run much of a dome piston with those valves. Any advice!?!?!?

  2. whose in charge of the stickers. i believe i'd like to put a silveradoss.com sticker on the ex cab door window on each side. somethin to break it up a tad! possibly a shirt as well if someone could gimme prices and orderin info

  3. I just bought a new camper and was looking for input on towing with my SS. The camper weighs 6000 pounds. I've been told the stock transmission in my truck may not stand up to it. I towed it home from the dealership about 40 miles from home around the mountains of Ky and Va and it seemed to do fine then. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

i know ill get bashed by everyone on here, but i own mud trucks and tow my 6200lb k5 blazer on a 1300lb trailer about 2 weekends out of the month. and run it at the drag strip here and there. here is the worst part.. my truck as we speak has 221,783 miles on the dash on the FACTORY ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. it has been regularly maintained, ive got the records, only things been done is a water pump and fuel pump and filter.. i bought it with 192k but came with the service records. i wouldnt hesitate to pull that camper

  4. Gm claims 1800lb/tq. Something like that. I'll look it up for ya and post a link.

thank you. thatd be appreciated. just didnt know when i pulled the trans if the case should be beefed up too or not. but i like the sound of this , build keeps gettin cheaper and cheaper. was thinkin forged bottom end but guys say that stock cranks and all that good stuff is proven to hold high high hp

  5. Hey guys its time to do some hp addition on the truck. Curious how much power the stock tcase can take. I plan on buildin the trans( not sure whats best) and cammin it with a little head work. Curious as to what cams sound good and perform good. I want a nice little lick. This will be installed with my whipple 2.3.input and advice wanted!!

  6. Need good ideas. Not lookin to spend a fortune...which i know power and money go hand in hand. But id like to know whats the best bang for the buck. I want her to chop. Good names of what to run would be helpful and trans build ideas. Best bands/servos that good stuff

  7. truck keeps throwin TPS code, if i'm not mistaken the sensor is non replaceable so i'm guessin i need a new throttle body. so if anyone has one layin around and wanna let it go for cheap please let me know. also i need injectors to have my whipple blower set up complete. looks like 39-42 lb injectors is the way to go. please let me know if yall have anything!

  8. Hey I am almost done installing mine. It is a 2.3 and the stock pulley should give you about 6lbs. Add injectors and a bigger pump! I spiced mine up a bit and added a linage feller cam and meth injection to the equation. MeTh should help to cool off some of the heat that is being push to the motor.

thanks alot! i would appreciate any further info you have for me as far as installation is concerned. what i may and may not need

  9. Hey guys i just purchased a whipple blower and want some more info about it like what model it is (2.9,3.1 etc) it says whipple 53100 and the other #s are 99-323-S . It does not take place of the manifold, mounts on the side and is a twin screw. If yall could fill me in id appreciate it alot!! Also i'm in need of a set of injectors... One more thing , what is the boost on stock pulley , 6 or 7 psi ish ?? Thanks in advance

  10. damn someones beat me to it!

haha yessir.. knock on wood i've NEVER seen a DROP of any fluid hit the ground. my brothers buddy just bought a 2011 5.0 mustang, it has 114 miles on it and already back at the dealership for an oil leak, so yes, i'm very happy with my truck!:chevy:

  11. thanks for the input guys! everything seems as good as can be under the truck except the millimeters of movement in idler and pitman. i guess i'll have to grow a pair and hope thats the deal. if not i'll be reposting i guess, but it seems as if everyone is pretty confident that that could possibly be it.

  12. Hey guys,

Truck just started doin some funny stuff. it has done it maybe twice since i've owned it over the past two years but now its real frequent and intensified so i have it parked now. but after hitting any imperfection in the road, i mean just the slightest thing upsets something in the suspension or steering and both front wheels rattle all over the place. it's pretty radical, it will not do it at low speeds so i limped it back home and parked it. but any bump, rough patch and stuff just makes the front in chatter all over the road , cannot throttle out of it or brake.. basically have to come to a complete stop and start rolling again.

if anyone has a diagnosis PLEASE help me out. want her back on the road ASAP.

    thanks in advance
