  1. I am looking into also converting drum to disk. I"ve been asking around town and some one said I may need to change the master cylinder. Does anyone know if thats true.
  2. That is the next step. I'm hoping to get it done in time for spring break for South Padre Island. I'm taking pictures of every process its going through. You should see the original pics, its funny how just with the rims alone it makes a big difference. But I'm a show and go kinda guy
  3. Anyone out there know or have a sub box for an 08 reg cab silverado? looking to see whats out there for this truck, i dont want to fab one to much hassle getting measurements and what not, then for it to come out an inch to big. Somrthing with 10's one or two even one with 12's probably just 1. Got Kicker Comp 10's looking to hook them up.
  4. Thanks man. 1 question what is PTM stand for? I wanted a diff bowtie but havent found any was thinking of fab a decal to put over it.
  5. What's up guys. I'm a new member from South TX just signed up a couple of days ago. I've been in here off and on since 08 when I got my truck, I finally decided to sign up. I've posted some pics of the truck up to see, check them out give me some feedback, positive or negative. I'm open to suggestions or recommendations so don't be afraid to tell me what you think no offense taken. They are just some pics to post up for now I will be posting up better one's in a couple of days. Thanks guys.
  6. Hey thanks. So does what custom tuner do you guys recommend? and how much do they run for?
  7. Ok to be more specific. What shift points they go by 100's, What rpm rev limiter limit? shift firmness Y or N and whatever else the programmer has forgot the other settings. Thanks guys.
  8. I know this question has probably been asked before but. What settings are recomended for the hypertech max energy programmer? I am going to adjust my 2008 Silverado 4.8 and I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions or recomendations. If any of you guys have programed your truck give me some feedback as to the settings. See what the best results are. Thanks.
  9. 1 inch keys, i think the ride will sux. How much rubbing are we talking bout? I wanted 2 inches at least in the front and looking at it it looks possible. 2 inch spindles up front. look at that it looks horrible. there is space up top, side of the fender clear halfway down with out any rubbing, looks can be decieving but it looks possible. And for the rear 3 to 4 inch, but again best ride quality. hangers, flip kit, whats the best u recommend and what brand djm, belltech, mcnaughtys? i'm serious its going to get dropped where there's a will there's a way. Suppose I take this truck to you and tell you drop it 2 in the front and 4 in the rear do whatever you need to do to make it work.
  10. Norcal SS heres a question you might help me out in. I got 24's with 305/35's I want to drop the truck but hesitant about the front tires rubbing up on the wheel well, right now its good no rub at all not even on turns. the rims have an offset of 25mm according to the shop I bought them from. So can it be dropped and how much of a drop? If you need to see pics there on my profile. What do you recommend? if minor adjusting to the well is needed I'm cool with that but major issues like cutting into the plastic is not what I would rather do. Oh, and what kit do you recommend I am looking for the best ride quality out of it no bounce, and rather not mess with the torsion bars.
  11. here we go. the rims have an offset of 25. your talking about milimeters from hitting the fender by the looks of it, it looks like it will not tuck under the truck but you never know. gotta ask around more if you guys here anything point me in that direction. Thanks.
  12. good question. I need to double check cause I don't remeber what they told me it was. Off topic and since u mentioned, you know who or where I can get good disk brakes kits? The truck came with factory rear drums and they are having a little bit of a problem trying to brake. I've checked on Summit and the prices are crazy high and I've seen some on ebay for three times less but never heard of the brand name. I'll post the offset a little later on going to call the shop and ask what the offset is, i need to call anyway to get the hieght of the tire to ajust the speedometer gauge.
  13. im just gonna take the hit and order two 22's and get 305-40's tires. I can definatley get a 4in drop in the front and the back I won't have any problems.
  14. i'm looking for at least a 3/5 but I'll settle for a 2/4 if thats all i can go. I dont want to cut into the plastic and I don't want to take it off either and of course I don't want it to rub.
  15. this one has 24's with a 9/12 drop. here's the site from trucking magazine http://www.truckinweb.com/features/1001tr_...0_hd/index.html this one has 22's with a 4/7 drop. also from trucking magazine. http://www.truckinweb.com/features/1002tr_...rado/index.html
