  1. I plan to use either a SSS case or a TBSS case so either an NVG 149 or a NVG 136. I currently have just a 4.8 and dont plan to install the 6.0 for a while, even when i do it will not be over 400hp. So the 136 should do just fine.. I would like to keep my 4l60 that came with the truck, change the output shaft and add the case.. however over on PT.net i just found a 4L70 with case from a TBSS... Hopefully that will work.. As far as the front suspension there are no serious mods needed. The 07 and newer trucks use the same suspension and steering for both 2 and 4/Awd.. so all i have to do is get the diff, fab up mounts for the frame (simple tabs) bolt in the diff and change the wheel bearings to the 4wd/Awd.. I am trying to work a deal with the guy on PT.net.. Thanks for the help. let me know if anyone has parts.. Thanks
  2. I am searching for the pieces necessary to swap from 2WD to AWD into my GMT900... I wish to acquire the transfercase and or transmission/transfer case, driveshaft and front diff. I understand that this is going to require some work to make all of this work. I have time and a really good welder, as well as several years experience and alot of fab tools at my disposal, i am intrigued by this all due to the fact that the SSS didnt have any extra electronics to use the AWD stuff makes me think that i can adapt the AWD under my truck and it will be basically invisible to the existing vehicle controls... Should even be able to use the stock trans if i can convert it to be 4wd/awd with a tailshaft/housing swap.. Please if you have any of these parts or even better if you have all of them let me know.. [email protected] Here is the truck in question.. RCSB NNBS now lowered 4/7 and sitting on black escalade 22s.. Help a trucker out!!! http://s1024.photobucket.com/albums/y310/ig109/?action=view¤t=IMG_20101119_163240.jpg
  3. I may well be interested in the front driveshaft.. Could you give me a measurement of the length from joint to joint? I dont have the front end pieces actually mounted so i am not sure if the diff to the transfer case will need the shaft from a SS silvy or from a Denali like the front diff came from.. going to wait and see for sure when all of it gets bolted together.. I am going to be needing the adapter for the 4L60 to the NVG149 as well. also the output shaft to convert to Awd/4wd.. Just saying.. If anyone has one laying around.. Thanks
  4. I am in the process of making a corvette chaser out of my 2007 GMC sierra, it is a RCSB came stock with 4.8 and auto.. Installing a 383 stroked LS with 243 heads that have been worked over, cam, stall, built trans and i am in the process of converting to AWD.. I have located the front end parts from a Sierra Denali of the same year.. I am now looking for an NVG 149 Transfer Case to use.. The reason being that they are stand alone and would require no electronics to run.. Plus you guys seem to have enough good luck with them.. Please feel free to e-mail me at work [email protected] Thanks
