  1. Let me see. $1.139 a litre for Premium. 3.78 L/gal puts me at $4.31/gal...
  2. The problem is that they don't care about their vehicle or even how to drive it. Pretty much everyone on here is because they LOVE their truck, they love driving 'em. We don't need an excuse or a reason to drive around aimlessly. Most of us would love (or already have) a hot rod, a muscle car, a Harley, a rock climber... park right along side of our trucks. Vehicles just aren't transportation for us.
  3. Get your post numbers up... by randomly posting answers that have already been posted.
  4. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  5. I like them. Excellent customer service. Product is good quality. I have lowering control arm which have urethane bushings. The bushings give a better ride but can "squeak" but DJM do have grease nipples to lube the bushings to help.
  6. WTF! Top speed and 1/4 mile speed are different subjects. Top speed is the absolute fastest you can go on a highway (in a safe, controlled, experimental way of course ). 1/4 mile speed is how fast you are going at the end of 1/4 mile. Everything is a comprimise. Faster 1/4 = slower overall top speed on highway. Faster highway top speed = slower 1/4 when it comes to gearing. Besides in the 1/4 its ET not MPH
  7. Just because your frame is level doesn't mean the body is level. All vehicles are built with a natural rake to them for aerodynamics. It is soo common that it looks natural to the eye. Try using the level on the top of the box or the bottom of the cab on the rockers below the doors to get the "levelled" look, not the frame. Best thing is to drop the front and then spend the time matching the back to the front. A level is great but trust your eye and gut more as to what level is. Remember also that the suspension will settle after being up in the air for a few hours. Also remember as you lower the back you are actually shifting the center of gravity of the truck towards the back so there is less weight compressing the front suspension. Your 2/3 can become a 1.5/3.5. I don't like the nose up or "cali" look. When I dropped my truck I had to argue with the guy to do a 3/3. And he still did a 3/4 and it looked like $h!+. He wasn't happy when he had to raise the back +1 on his dime the next day.
  8. Sadly, my brother writes that way...and he's a journeyman mechanic. Maybe that's why I don't let him work on my Silverado.
  9. I've got a Pace Edwards roll top and love it. As for headers I bought the el cheapo Summit Racing ones and I really like them. May not be as good as long tubes but I saw a big difference over stock.
  10. I missed what style you were looking at getting. The hard fiberglass ones are nice but you can't haul anything. Maybe it's just me but you should be able to haul a kitchen chair if you own a truck. The tri folds I find look kind of cheap. I have a PaceEdwards roll top on my truck and I love it. It sits nice and flat, don't have to worry about wind issues or theft. I would never own a truck without one.
  11. ABS module is shot. Pull the fuse otherwise it will kill your battery. The modules are expensive $1500 here in Canada. I've gone through three in my truck until I finally went broke replacing them. I've driven 4+ years without but I have the ABS and brake idiot lights lighting the dash. The modules are very poor design in that they don't have any sealant to protect the circuit boards in them. I blew two just washing my truck. I was just going to check the posts to see if anyone had a cheap module for sale.
