  1. FYI theres no welding on a sts kit. You drill a couple holes to mount the oil return pump from turbo. One hole for feed (does need to be tapped as well).
  2. I have 57,000 miles on my sts turbo kit. It works great. I did have a turbo pipe rust out and replaced it last year. Easy to install. Most difficult task is tapping in the oil feed. Youll also have to drill a couple holes for the return oil pump from the turbo in the rear. Some asked if any one tried mounting the turbo off the header. That would be the exactly what squires was trying not to do. The whole point is Turbo temp. is cooler. pressure side. With the intercooler squires claims 15 degrees above ambient air temperature. The lag is minimal. However if you do not get the blow off valve it will take more time to rebuild boost pressure. The base kit is good, but adding the blow off valve and the intercooler would real nice. You can run 8#s in stead of the stock 5#s. Hope this helps.
