  1. So as I was getting ready to fire up the Xbox 360 a special came on about GM's torture testing procees on dateline. Figured I'd watch it. The reporter said they were going to show how the side impact testing was done when, at the last minute GM officials said you can't capture that car, its a new model we are working on that has yet to be announced. Any ideas guys? C7, maybe a Z28, the new SS sedan?? I'm curious as hell now.

  2. Yeah I was running late plus being a little wet out made for some awesome wheel spin and tire scream. Thanks on the wheels. I'm a little ashamed to admit they are just plastidipped. I'm looking to buy a set of 22" reps and was curious to see how flat black looked. So far everyone loves it. They say it changed the whole attitude of the truck. My boss says the truck looked classy with the chrome and now even parked the truck looks ready to pounce and destroy anything in its path lol.

  3. She actually left the stoplight very lady like. I was haulin a$$ lol. I do wanna meet the guys around my area. I see a few SSS' a week. I saw a black one with a shopman bowtie yesterday by woodfield mall around 4pm.... I really wonder if these trucks I see are guys on the forum...

  4. Lol that's awesome! I saw your wife also, was on the phone with my fiance and was like, babe there's a TBSS right next to me and a chicks driving it. So don't tell me its too manly for you!! I'm trying to convince her that she needs one. Tell your wife I say hello. P.S. did she also tell you I left the light like a bat outta hell???? Lol

It is hard to tell without going to a dealership for a proper diagnosis. Please let us know if going to a dealership is an available option for you.

The dealer I bought the truck from is the same dealer we've been going to for almost 17 years. We've bought 15 cars from them, a family friend almost like an uncle is their top salesman. I'm a free man there. Know the owner first hand I walk around the place as if I own it. Everybody there takes the best care of us. Jennings Chevrolet in Glenview IL. Hands down the best dealership I've ever worked with... Plus the truck has a 7/100k warranty.

  6. Hey guys sorry forgot to update. Took the truck in to get checked out. Wouldn't replicate the noise on a test drive with a tech. They decided to check the brakes. Now I knew the rotors were warped I could feel it when comming to a fast stop from 120mph....

    The verdict....

    Front rotors completely warped.

Pads - 5mm of pad left.

Drums might have been salvageable by cutting.

Shoes - 1mm of life left.

The service advisor looked me right in the eyes and calmly asked "How did you eat up those rear brakes that bad?"

My reply " Massive Smokey burnouts!"

I replaced everything. Rotors, pads, hardware up front. Drums, shoes and hardware out back. Cleaned and greased everything and bled the system. Truck stops on a dime no thumping or popping in the pedals.

I gotta say though, that horseshoe shaped retainer spring on the drums is a pita to get back into place.
