  1. I used the same kit, I torqued mine down lower after the initial drop because It was not low enough for me. I forgot what they are called but I couldn't have mine aligned properly after either until I bought the control arm "shims" that could be adjusted further than the stock. Not sure if this helps or not. I never took pictures with the stock wheels and tires because they wouldn't fit after the drop.
  2. Swapped out my stock front brake system for a 2007 Tahoe's. It's just that the Russell lines I put on are shorter than factories were.
  3. So I did the 07 Tahoe swap up front for my 03 as well as put Russell lines on the front but I noticed they were shorter than factory lines and seemed a tight fit even while it was up on the car lift, and once I dropped it back to the ground there is literally no slack. Anyone know of a brand of decent lines that are at least factory length or longer? Thanks guys.
  4. So...if I do the 07 tahoe brake swap can I still use stock/russel brake lines from the original caliper?

      Thanks for the input.

  5. If it looks anything like the one in the transformers movie I'm all in.
  6. 6 bolts holding it to the front diff as seen here, and there is the huge nut as mentioned above holding it to the wheel hub. For the record do not drive this truck without the cv axle, it holds the wheelhub together. My dad figured this out with my truck the hard way.
  7. I have had my cv axles lengthened, and it still does this so I doubt that is anyones problem here. The cost to get them lengthened is about 70 a peice if you give them your current cv axle...here anyways.
  8. My truck has the 3/4 kit and keys torqued down and I rarely ever bottom out. I used the supplied red bumpstops that came with the kit though.

Well I've been looking for a car that looks good and gets better mpg than my truck for a while, and by better I was kind of thinking close to 30 mpg. Had my eyes set on a 370z but I couldnt justify paying more for one of those than I could get another SS for. So I bought the SS. I will have to get some pics of both the SS's together soon, the weather has turned rather nasty here at the moment and now both need washing. Next SS to join the family is going to be a 68
  11. Waiting on a insurance quote for my truck and a 2ss camaro. Fingers crossed!

Yup thanks, she's in the other garage now. I will have to get picks of the SS's sometime.

  12. My truck does this, so did my old s-10, so does my gov vehicle f350. I feel as tho it has something to do with the transmission wanting to shift at 45mph and doesnt. Like you said, it will do it at 45mph sometimes but as soon as I speed up a little it stops, I can then slow down to 45mph and it will not do it again.
  13. If theres not even static coming out of them or a hiss or anything it sounds like the amp inside the bose radio isnt giving any power to the speakers.
  14. Anyone with picks of the crome 22s on one of our trucks? They look good on the nbs.
