  1. I used the same kit, I torqued mine down lower after the initial drop because It was not low enough for me. I forgot what they are called but I couldn't have mine aligned properly after either until I bought the control arm "shims" that could be adjusted further than the stock. Not sure if this helps or not. I never took pictures with the stock wheels and tires because they wouldn't fit after the drop.

  2. So I did the 07 Tahoe swap up front for my 03 as well as put Russell lines on the front but I noticed they were shorter than factory lines and seemed a tight fit even while it was up on the car lift, and once I dropped it back to the ground there is literally no slack. Anyone know of a brand of decent lines that are at least factory length or longer? Thanks guys.

  3. Thanks guys.

She's a beauty gota get some pic of em side by side tho

For sure, just waiting on weather to wash em both up. Also waiting on warranty to go up so I can start the mods. Can't even touch exhaust :[

  4. Well I've been looking for a car that looks good and gets better mpg than my truck for a while, and by better I was kind of thinking close to 30 mpg. Had my eyes set on a 370z but I couldnt justify paying more for one of those than I could get another SS for. So I bought the SS.

I will have to get some pics of both the SS's together soon, the weather has turned rather nasty here at the moment and now both need washing. Next SS to join the family is going to be a 68 :P

  5. My truck does this, so did my old s-10, so does my gov vehicle f350. I feel as tho it has something to do with the transmission wanting to shift at 45mph and doesnt. Like you said, it will do it at 45mph sometimes but as soon as I speed up a little it stops, I can then slow down to 45mph and it will not do it again.

  6. So my dads been wanting a 2 post car lift for a long time, and now my sister has a lowered mustang thats like my truck and doesnt like a jack going under it. I don't really think anyone local is going to have these for sale and Im sure some people on here have them so I was wondering whats a good brand, where did you get it ect ect. The main problem is his ceiling height in the garage is only 10ft max and the one my works central garage is a bit taller.

  7. Uhm it was Norcalls djm/belltech kit. Shackle/hanger with spindles. The only weird thing about the whole thing was it was fine for like 2 or 3 months then the one in the pictures above broke like it did and as soon as I would put a new one in it would pop out when the wheels turned. Lengthened them and have had no problems since.

  8. Id leave the wheels alone, I like black on black on some vehicles but I dont think this is one of them. But thats just me, if you like it go for it, your the one driving it not us. If you leave the wheels alone Im sure you will get comments on how great the car is from some people and if you black everything out I'm sure there will be people commenting on it as well. On a side note, is that just a GT or is it a GXP?
