Have never heard of a SD living on 1k, an SA yes 1500+ but never a SD. What's amp were used? Not saying I don't believe you just curious because the SD is a 2 inch cool and Sundowns coils don't like heat and I still have my backseat well did with that box its 2/3rds gone now for room for the 15seach chamber is 1.2cuft idk forsure what its tuned at id say close to 33-35hz. for the sd the reason I went with the sd is cause there rated the same as sa but require alot less space, there for. Can run in my truck with out loosing my back seat and I can get em dirt cheap as my cousin in sponsored by sundown audio
The sd are rated at 500rms but I've seen n heard people push close to 1000 to em no problem and once I get the other sub their guna be wired together down to .5ohm they should be plenty loud I'm not building for a comp just sum thing to bump daily

ok let me put it this way. if u have MORE power going to ur tweets, u have a problem. the 6 channels that sold to the public are for cars with 6 speakers such as my trans am. u NEVER NEVER NEVER power tweeters directly to an amp. u MUST have a crossover that takes the power in from the amp and splits it about 80-20 (80 to the mid bass driver and 20 to the tweet) u are just wasting time trying to add power to replacement tweeters in the factory hole.
Have you never heard of running active? Explain why I can't hook up my tweets to my amp? By theway way I have Digital Designs B1s running active on a PPI 900.4 both 4 ohm on there own channel. 4 mids on the front both at 2 ohm.

Would have gone with the SA at least. Looks like my box just mines forward fire. How much space and tuning? My box is 3.75 cu ft which is still the biggest I have heard to fit under a stock seat and tunes to 32hz with aero ports, dam shame it was only in my truck for 2 days

I'm a Singer Alternator dealer I can have mike build it up for ya
-
2 hcca 15's and a t4000. Running stock alt. and only 1 extra battery.
Wow I'm surprised although I still think those HCCA are so inefficient. I got a Singer 275 and its a beast. He actually local to me and I'm a local Singer dealer now, he a great guy very honest

My fourth order box was super peaky like only hit one note. But that one tone was super loud. It was a pure spl box. Two 15's hit 148.5 on term lab.
How much power? 148 is sorta low for a "numbers" 4th order. What's Subs and amp?
-
Your all sorta right its going to be loud and sound good across the board but I'm using the term SPL as a meaning for actually feeling and how loud it is. I am not talking DBs if I wanted higher numbers I would have tuned higher, that being said the pervious owner had them tuned to 40 hz for term lab number and they actually peaked at 31 still which is insane. They are low end monsters that have great sound quality, as far as upgrades I have 2 sets of CDT HD61s, PPI 900.4, clarion EQ, 80 mil sound deadner,
And other little things
-
Its just how I designed my box popper and its about 50/50. There's no actual way of making a ratio but just after talking to alot of people who owned these and modelled them. Enclosure is 8.0 cu ft after port, brace and displacements. Its tuned to 30 hz with 15 sq inches of port. They will get nasty low and sound awesome, I'll set up a link to it soon my doors are getting fiberglassed and a couple of things I have to do
-
My first time also but I know how it works
-
Upgraded every item through wheeling and dealing except Subs, everything is on order should be rocking soon sorry for the long build but this site is so dam dead
-
I did the same. I have a forward box for 2 10s, 3.75 ft tuned to 32hz its a shame its sitting in my garage
-
I'm in
-
I got the PAC adapter for like 60$ at best buy but the steering wheel module is another 60. I personally didn't go with it as I use the volume knob anyway
-
