true on the 22"ers I have realized that, but they look good.

Thanx guys, I think I will do some research and find the original owner. Then the shop it was bought from and ask them directly. I think you are probably right. They are nicely included and do not look like they were placed on it after sale. They have the same wear as other items in the general area and are the same color and not signs of removal and replacement. Thanx again.

Contacted the original owner, he said he did not. Said that came that way. That is why I am confused. I guess its off to Chevrolet Truck division and their historian unless someone can explain this. No way the items are added the way they are in the truck. Of course I guess they could have been, but makes no sense to me.

I just bought a 2003 red SS, as an SS only. It was from a reputable source who is very honest. It came with 22" SS wheels, Intimidator spoiler, Intimidator dash markings, and Intimidator embroidery on the head rests. They did not claim it was an Intimidator and simply told me they did not know, but it actually came from the factory with all these things on it. Perhaps, does anyone know whether they did a few Victory Red SS's with Intimidator items on them as a precursor to see how they would be received by the public. These items were not add ons, I work on car interiors and restore them regularly and have 6 restored show cars. There is absolutely no way these did not come this way from the factory. Just looking at their install clearly appears original. Really need your expertise on this issue. Oh, by the way it is AWD too. Thanx in advance. Thanx, Volant first, then headers. I see some DMX's for $600.00 and since I have my own mechanic to help me on Saturdays, likely that I will go that route. Everyone seems to say that headers are the way to go. Any length you suggest?

I am new to this site and ownership of an SS. I rebuild BMW's and I have learned that cold air systems, Motorola chips, hi-perf ignition wires, and exhaust systems do a good job of increasing HP in these little cars cheaply and effectively. I was planning on a Volant cool air system, and Magnaflow or Borla exhaust system to start off. Can anyone tell me if this is a good place to start. I do not want to try a chip since I have heard they do not work as well on the American car as they do on Euro cars. Thanx in advance, Stenzgr
